Most would agree: Vampires are so out. True to any trend, monsters go in and out of fashion, depending on which shows and movies are hitting it big and which are missing the mark. Share your two cents below…

While these nocturnal bloodsuckers are probably the most historically relevant and timeless of all the creepy crawlers in the night, it’s been like a decade since Twilight, and seriously, how many more seasons of True Blood can there be? Plus, Vampire Academy feels like it’s about 5 years too late. |
Arguably the sexiest part of True Blood, werewolves are pretty, well, carnal and sexy. Teen Wolf is a good testament to this as well. But do they have what it takes to be the next ‘it’ monster? PS looks like we are actually making these now…that’s the truly scary part.

The Walking Dead. Need we say more? While definitely not sexy, zombies have had a pretty good run, but some of the updates on the silver screen have been a little shaky: Warm Bodies tried to add the cutesy factor to the undead, and only moderately succeeded.

If you were a fan of The Secret Circle, or of course the craziness that was Season 3 of American Horror Story (with coven members Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, among others), you might think these ladies are actually where it’s at. But if you thought True Blood started to go off track when the witches showed up, you might be over them by now… |
