About Jack Griffo

Insightful, lighthearted, musically inclined, and passionate are all ways that actor Jack Griffo could be described. Nominated in 2014 and 2015 for “Best Actor” at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Griffo is heartthrob on the rise. He can currently be seen starring on Nickelodeon’s hit series “The Thundermans”, a show revolving around a suburban family with superpowers. In addition to “The Thundermans”, Griffo can next be seen appearing in the third installment of SYFY’s pop culture phenomenon SHARKNADO 3 and in the indie feature THOSE LEFT BEHIND. On the music front, Griffo has achieved accidental YouTube success, boasting over 5.1 million video views on his account, and growing.

“I grew up with older brothers who were involved in theater so it was always something I was interested in and wanted to try. In 7th grade I started to audition for plays and was hooked once I landed my first role. While growing up in Orlando I was involved in community theater and several professional productions and eventually started taking acting classes downtown. It was in those classes that I was encouraged to come out to Los Angeles to try doing some auditions – My mom brought me here when I was 13 and we haven’t gone back yet! My best advice to other young people is just to never give up on your dreams. Keep working at whatever your goal may be and that hard work will pay off. It may not be over night, but one day, it will happen.

I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work on some really great projects lately. In January I filmed an indie called THOSE LEFT BEHIND, and in February I worked on SHARKNADO 3, which was awesome. Working with Ian, Tara, and Cassie was really cool. I also got to be the love interest of my real life girlfriend, Ryan, so that was sweet for us. I think my favorite project to date is ‘The Thundermans’. We all have so much fun together on set and playing Max has been a blast.”
