In bigger news, Shailene Woodley is in the running to join Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Oliver Stone’s untitled Edward Snowden biopic, based on the book written by Luke Harding. Woodley would play Snowden’s girlfriend.
A minor aftershock after the recent cavalcade of WB/DC Comics movie news: Jai Courtney(Divergent, A Good Day to Die Hard the upcomingTerminator: Genisys) is in talks to appear in Suicide Squad as Deadshot. The Squad is a team of supervillains given one last shot at redemption by taking on a mission that will most likely get them killed. Also in negotiations to join the film are Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto (rumored to be the Joker!!!!!), Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, and Will Smith. Jesse Eisenberg may also appear as Lex Luther, which he will originate in next year’s Batman v Superman. Courtney’s no stranger to franchises.
Ouija’s Olivia Cooke is in negotiations to appear in the Ben-Hur remake, which follows a rich Jewish prince who turns into a slave and ultimately crosses paths with Jesus. Cooke would play Judah Ben-Hur’s (Jack Huston) sister. Olivia is also soon to be seen in the adaptation of Jesse Andrews’ YA novel Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.

Disney is bringing back White Fang, based on the timeless novel by Jack London. The story follows a young man in Alaska during the 20th century Gold Rush who befriends a wolf dog in the wild.
