Ever since the film version of Cassandra Clare’s urban YA fantasy The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones was released, the author has shown no signs of slowing down. The Mortal Instruments are still wildly successful, having the distinction of being one of the few series to be on the NY Times Bestseller list for over 3 years running!

This month, look for The Bane Chronicles, which will collect all the short stories involving everyone’s favorite gay warlock Magnus Bane for the first time in one printed compendium. And Cassandra also recently released a contemporary fantasy novel with co-author Holly Black, entitled The Iron Trial. The story tells of the adventures of a young magician called Callum Hunt.
And, as we previously reported, things are not over yet for the epic universe of The Mortal Instruments. Although the film version was only coolly received, a TV series is in the works, with many of the same producers in tow. Look for more on this exciting project soon!
