It’s been a while since our fabulous interview chat session with Delirium scribe Lauren Oliver, and there is a fair amount of news to catch up on. As we all know, the pilot/TV movie for Delirium, starring the gorgeous Emma Roberts, Darren Kagasoff and Gregg Sulkin, was not picked up by network, and therefore exists as a stand-alone TV movie. But not to worry! Panic, Lauren’s new book series launched this year, already has an option to become a film.
Panic tells the story of Heather, a graduating senior who takes part in a strange ritual in her town: a dangerous game where ‘the stakes are higher and the payoff is even higher’. Casting rumors have yet to begin, but we’re sure some YA Hollywood heavyweights are eyeing the role of Heather and male love interest Dodge.
Additionally, Lauren published her first adult novel, entitled Rooms: A Novel , an inventive ghost story where the phantoms live in the walls of a house and treat the structure like their own body. We are thrilled to see this author continue to put out prolific work and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
