Catch it here first! We are on the lookout for the freshest, hottest and coolest YA trailers as they come out, based on your fave Young Adult series and beyond. We’ve laid it all out for your enjoyment. Watch this space and enjoy, coming soon to a theater near you!

THE FLASH

Summed up as: Things continue to move speedily along after this spinoff’s super successful premiere!

Coolest thing about the trailer: The poison gas supervillain, obvy.

We’re wondering: How can the Flash outrun the air around him?

Watch, DVR or Skip? Watch. We’re still hooked.

THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART I

Summed up as: The buildup continues at a slow boil leading up to the third installment in the series.

Coolest thing about the trailer: How subtle and slow it is. And how we only see Katniss.

We love: The soundtrack, a new song by Lorde.

Worth seeing opening weekend? Of course.

UNBROKEN

Summed up as: A true story of heroics and bravery during WWII, starring Jack O’Connell (Starred Up) as Olympian and war veteran Louis Zamperini.

Don’t miss: Domhnall Gleeson of Harry Potter fame, who is one of the actors currently filming the coveted Star Wars Episode VII.

Also be sure not to miss: Garrett Hedlund, from Tron and Inside Llewlyn Davis.

Worth seeing opening weekend? We’re intrigued.

IN THE HEART OF THE SEA

Summed up as: The ‘true’ story that inspired Moby Dick, this survival tale pits Chris Hemsworth (Thor himself) against a monstrous whale.

Coolest thing in the trailer: The whale, duh. And what a whale it is!

Be sure not to miss: Ben Whishaw (Cloud Atlas as well as the new Q in the Bond films), who plays some writer named Herman Melville.

Worth seeing opening weekend? This looks like a period piece version of Jaws. We’re ready!

TOMORROWLAND

Summed up as: The highly (highly) anticipated Disney vehicle from Brad Bird, director of The Incredibles.

Best thing in the trailer: We are thrilled to see Britt Robertson (The Secret Circle, Under the Dome) get a plum lead role, featured in this beautiful and expertly executed teaser trailer.

We’re not sure about: George Clooney, who is getting a bit too suave for his own good. We’d love to see him in a movie where he looks at least a little stress.

Worth seeing opening weekend? Absolutely.

WOLVES

Summed up as: A werewolf movie reminiscent of The Lost Boys.

Don’t miss: Lucas Till, of X-Men fame as Havok (side note: Wolves is written and directed by original X-Men scribe David Hayter). Also Merritt Patterson, aka Olivia of the one season #PLL spinoff Ravenswood.

Dumbest thing in the trailer: With all its high school athletics, the trailer’s insanely obvious references to Teen Wolf.

Worth seeing opening weekend? We’ll wait to see more.

AS NIGHT COMES

Summed up as: A creepy revenge fantasy/tale that calls to mind Gus Van Sant’s Elephant with a spookier edge.

Most interesting thing in the trailer: The obvious presence, on the part of the filmmakers, of direct references to the issue of bullying.

Creepiest thing in the trailer: The Misfits’ makeup on ‘Mischief Night’, especially the androgynous leader of the pack. Good model for a Halloween look!

Worth seeing opening weekend? This looks mighty intriguing…

WILDLIKE

Summed up as: Martha Marcy May Marlene meets Into the Wild, with a troubled and lost young adult girl on the run in the Alaskan wilderness.

Don’t Miss: Ella Purnell, of Maleficent and Kick-Ass 2, as the lead Mackenzie.

Also be sure not to miss: Glee and Awkward’s Nolan Gerard Funk as Tommy!

Worth seeing opening weekend? So far this looks like required viewing.

BAD TURN WORSE

Summed up as: A tight-looking YA crime thriller starring Mackenzie Davis of Zac Efron vehicle That Awkward Moment.

Best thing in the trailer: The editing.

Be sure not to miss: A group of relatively unknown young adult actors who promise to turn in effective performances judging from what’s seen here.

Worth seeing opening weekend? Who doesn’t like a good crime thriller?
