YEM Exclusive Interview | with Chelsea Clark from Ginny & Georgia

For those still eager to get their Ginny & Georgia fix, YEM has good news for everyone. We have an exclusive interview with the talented Chelsea Clark, who stars as Norah in the show. We’re excited to talk to Chelsea about her character Norah, her thoughts and experience with the show and cast members, and more. However, before we can even start this interview, here is a refresher on what the show is about. This article will touch on some subjects in Season 1. While there won’t be any explicit spoilers, there will be mentions of the first season in general in this article, so please be aware of that if you’re planning on watching the show on a clean slate.

We have already explained what Ginny & Gerogia is at length in a previous interview, so here’s a brief overview of the show. Ginny & Georgia is a Netflix series that was released in February of 2021 and was renewed for a second season in January. The show follows Ginny Miller, portrayed by Antonia Gentry, and her dynamic mother, Georgia Miller, portrayed by Brianne Howey. The story starts when Georgia and her family settle down in Wellsbury, where Georgia swears to give her children a better life than she had. But when Georgia’s past returns to harm her family, she will do whatever she can to protect her family. If you wish to read a more detailed synopsis of the show, be sure to check out the interview we had with Mason Temple, who stars as Hunter Chen.

For those who need a refresher on Chelsea Clark, here’s an overview of who she is. Chelsea first took an interest in music, eventually venturing into the world of musical theatre for musicals such as Legally BlondeA Christmas Carol, and even Aladdin. She was once spotted by an agent who encouraged her to audition, which shifted her to work on television. From that moment on, Chelsea became known for her role as Dhara on the ABC show Rookie Blue, only to eventually be starred in different roles on Life with Boys and The Stanley Dynamic. Later on, she became even more renowned for her role as Esme from the Netflix original series Degrassi: Next Class, her role as Kylo from EZRA, and her role as Norah on Ginny & Georgia.

We start the interview by asking Chelsea what it was like to be a member of the Ginny & Georgia family. Chelsea states that it has been a lot of fun and that everyone is supportive, which initially shocked her. She mentions that when you’re working on projects, you don’t always build a strong relationship with one another, and she also mentions that you don’t usually have the higher-ups looking out for the well-being of their actors. She expressed that she’s grateful to be a member of this family. We also asked her about her favorite, memorable behind-the-scenes moment. Chelsea has mentioned that there were a few moments that she remembers, such as during rehearsal times with the camera crew. She does mention a time with the beanbags from the first season when she and a bunch of others will bring the beanbags to the green room, and feign ignorance as to where they are. It came to a point where the other members of the cast would hide the beanbags and feign ignorance as to where they hid them, but upon spilling the beans about why they had to hide them in the first place, Chelsea and the others realized that the beanbags are somewhere in the same room. It eventually leads to Chelsea and the others finding the beanbags, taking some of them into the green room, closing all the doors so they couldn’t see them, and eventually getting in trouble for it once they were found out. What made the entire fiasco stranger, or funnier depending on who you are, was that someone stole a beanbag chair, which lead to Chelsea and the others being questioned as to who had stolen the beanbag chair. None of them did it, but the timing behind the fiasco was very funny. Sounds pretty chaotic, huh?
