Better Nate Than Ever is a  musical familycomedy film that is based on his 2013 novel of the same name. The movie is about 13-year-old Nate Foster. He is an unpopular Midwestern kid who entertains vivid fantasies of becoming a big Broadway musical star. The movie is coming out on April 1st on Disney+. YEM was able to interview Rueby Wood. Rueby plays the part of Nate Foster. In the interview he spoke about many things from the movie, his character and so much more.

During the interview, the question “What was it like finding out that you got the role of Nate?”  he responded by saying “It was really magical. I was in this room, standing against that wall, and I was on zoom. I thought it was another callback because I had been doing callbacks for a whole month at this point. None of the casting team other than Tim knew that he was going to offer me the part on this zoom. We get on the zoom, and he breaks it down for me and is like “Before we start I just want to say that it’s down to you and one other kid, and I just want you to be prepared because I know how hard it is when you don’t get a role that you want. I hope you know that we really liked you. And we like you so much that you got the role!”. My eyes got so big, and I was deceased. It was incredible, It was magical. It was definitely a great experience”.
