We first ask Robbie about what the responses are for his book release. Robbie happily tells us how excited he is for the book’s release on April 18th, and while the book has been released before the date for reviewers to review the book, he talks about how the reviews have been mainly positive. Robbie tells us about how his first books were well received, but he mentions that this latest book was the first to ever received a ‘three-star’ review.
For context, starred reviews are usually reserved for the most exceptional books, so Robbie has been excited to see his book resonate with people. He mentions a few other changes that are currently happening to him after the book’s reviews, such as going on his first tour, and is hyped about it.
When asked about his career as an author and what’s behind the details on how to be one, Robbie mentions that there’s no ‘one way’ to it. He talks about how it can feel like a “lonely, isolating place” to be in when you don’t what you’re doing and how to get there, and advises those who want to follow that career to start with this: start writing.
