Christian Isaiah is growing up before our eyes. Last year, he joined the cast of the long-running hit Showtime show “Shameless.” Christian took over the role of Liam, the youngest member of the Gallagher family. “Shameless” is currently in its ninth season, airing now. Young Entertainment Mag sat down with Christian to talk about his career and being a part of the well-established series.

Young Entertainment Mag: How did you first get involved in acting?

Christian Isaiah: When I lived in Virginia I entered a contest and after a few weeks of lessons the group was invited to LA to a convention. After a week of auditions I received 25 callbacks the most in my group. My mom was about to retire from the Navy, so when she retired we decided to move here to give acting a try.

YEM: You’re a part of the popular show Shameless. What’s your favorite part about being on the show?

Christian Isaiah: Working with amazing actors. They are all very talented and very nice.

YEM: Tell us about your character, Liam. Do you have anything in common with Liam?

Christian Isaiah: Well for the most part no, but I am smart like him.

YEM: Liam is the youngest member of the Gallagher family. Does the cast feel like one big family?

Christian Isaiah: Yes they actually do. They welcome me since day 1 and I feel like the little brother.

YEM: Shameless is coming back for its ninth season! Can you tell us anything about what Liam is up to this season?

Christian Isaiah: Well he gets kicked out of private school, and tries to get into another one, but ends up in public school. That will get very interesting. LOL!

YEM: Do you ever get recognized by fans of the show?

Christian Isaiah: Yes I do, and most of the times it’s adults and there are sure if it is me so they just stare then I look and smile and shake my head yes. Then they are like. I thought so.

YEM: If you could guest star on any show, what would it be and why?

Christian Isaiah: Hawaii 5.0, I love watching that show. It is just one of my favorites and I want to say Book Em Dano! LOL!!!

YEM: And finally, if you could pick any actor to guest star on Shameless, who would you pick and why? Is there an actor in particular that you would want to work with?

Christian Isaiah: Chadwick Boseman, I think he is cool. I want to work with him on his next movie. That would be awesome.
