If you haven’t seen it, do it and if you need more convincing check out our review. This year has been about the countdown to movie adaptation of John Green’s young adult novel and it did not disappoint. This was a do not miss summer 2015 movie!

“Drag Me Down” by One Direction

One Direction’s surprise release of their single “Drag Me Down” had everyone buzzing! It was their first release since Zayn Malik left the group and proved they didn’t need him to stay on top. You’ve probably already got it on repeat, but if not, what are you waiting for?

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Trailer

 The Hunger Games doesn’t come out until November and we can not wait! We can’t get enough leading up to the film. So when the first full length trailer came out in July everything stopped. How many times have we watched it? We’d rather not answer…

The Good Girls by Sarah Shepard

Anybody who loves “Pretty Little Liars” knows the name Sara Shepard. Piggybacking off the success of Pretty Little Liars, Shepard’s latest in the series ‘The Perfectionists,’ The Good Girls came out this summer and it had everything we’ve come to love for Shepard, twists, turns and even some murder.

Teen Wolf Season 5

“Teen Wolf” is going strong in it’s 5th season. It’s been action packed episodes, full of new characters, foes and sassy one liners. The pack doesn’t seem to be separating anytime soon and this season is definitely worth the watch. Let us know who you’re favorite new character in this special YE poll!

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han is the followup to the heartfelt  New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, from last year. It’s a must read about love through the eyes of Laura Jean.

Skrillex and Diplo – “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber

Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve heard ‘Where Are Ü Now’ a lot, like a lot, a lot. Probably because it’s fantastic. This will go down as one of the songs of the summer of 2015.

Scream Premiere

Cult Horror classic ‘Scream’ got a reboot from MTV this summer and people are responding. In fact it’s already been picked up for a season 2. It’s probably time to check it out.

Ant-Man

‘Ant-Man’ surprised us all by being awesome this summer. I guess it wasn’t too much of a surprise though. Paul Rudd + Action Movie= Amazing, no matter what. If you didn’t check it out already, it is time!

‘Lair of Dreams’ by Libba Bray

Three years later and we finally got the follow up to Libba Bray’s supernatural mystery, Lair of Dreams. The book is set in 1920’s New York City and follows Evie O’Neill after she’s been outed as a Diviner. It’s  a must-read about mystery, dreams and finding yourself.

Demi Lovato “Cool for the Summer”

Demi kills it in this summer anthem. Maybe it’s about same-sex experimentation, maybe it’s just about having some fun when it’s warm outside. No matter what, it’s a must listen. And make sure to check out our #throwbackthursday on this awesome woman.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials Trailer

The team behind Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials made an event of their release of the latest trailer over the summer. Throughout the course of two days they released exclusive movie posters of the main characters, all leading up to the release of the epic trailer above.  Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is set to be released on September 18, 2015. In the mean time let us know which poster was your favorite?

Finding Aubrey

Sophie Kinsella’s YA novel, Shopaholic, came out earlier this summer and it’s a laugh out loud page turner about fourteen-year-old Audrey who’s daily life is constantly disrupted by her anxiety disorder. Finding Audrey proved to be a great beach read.

The Fosters Season 3

Season Three of the Fosters is a must watch. We’ve got romance, pregnancy drama, post traumatic stress, first times and more happening. With all the characters, new and old, on this teen drama every episode is jam packed with twists and turns. You’ve still got time to catch up!

Me and Earl and The Dying Girl

For those who don’t know, Me and Earl and The Dying Girl, on is a high-school film about cancer and friendship. The idea isn’t new but the execution was fantastic. Based on the book of the same name by Jesse Andrews, the film was a summer must and showcased the fantastic Olivia Cooke. Check out our up and comer profile on her!

Jennifer Mathieu, best known for her high school bullying novel, The Truth About Alice, released her latest, Devoted, this summer. It tackled religion, cults, women and more.

Selena Gomez “Good for you”

In this sensual single, Selena let us know she’s all grown up. It’s the quieter, sultry hit of the summer that’s not going anywhere soon. Don’t forget to check out YE’s #throwbackthursday feature on Selena!

Degrassi came to an end

‘Degrassi’ is known for taking on the problems of young people frankly and earnestly. It’s been 14 seasons of wild emotions that sadly came to an end this summer. (Check out our Top 10 Degrassi Hallway Fights) But there’s still time to catch up because the series is moving to Netflix!

Stitchers

Stitchers, the latest from ABC Family, is a must watch. It’s a science fiction crime drama following Kristen Clark and her team. She has been recruited to join a covert government agency, that can send her consciousness into the body’s of recently dead people to try to find out how they died.
