Jane the Virgin

Life for young Latina woman Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is getting flipped upside-down in this CW comedy-drama.  Jane has never given up her “flower,” even though she has been in a serious relationship with Michael (Bret Dier) for almost two years.  After a mix-up at her doctor’s office, Jane ends up being artificially inseminated, and it turns out that the father is someone from Jane’s past, the dark and hunky Rafael (Justin Baldoni): Jane’s first kiss.  The drama unfolds as Jane decides how to handle her complicated situation.

Jane the Virgin premieres Monday, October 13 at 9:00 pm on The CW.

Gotham

Gotham premieres Monday, September 22 at 8:00 pm on FOX.

TUESDAY

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

agents-of-shield-banner

For a series that got off to rather a slow start, Season One wrapped up with an electrifying conclusion and cliff-hanger, leaving us all asking, “What is the DEAL with Skye (Chloe Bennet)?”  And, of course, we’re all still reeling from the dramatic reveal about Agent Grant Ward’s (Brett Dalton) involvement with secret organization HYDRA.  Season Two will hopefully delve deeper into Skye’s family history, her connection to S.H.I.E.L.D., and Agent Ward’s path to redemption.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday, September 23 at 8:00 pm on ABC.

The Flash

The CW’s DC Comics universe is getting larger.  Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), a young forensic scientist with a dark past, is given the ability to move at incredible speeds after being struck by lightning. With a little guidance from fellow superhero Arrow (Stephen Amell), Barry will use his power to stop the forces of evil as The Flash.

The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8:00 pm on The CW.

Awkward

The midseason finale of Awkward rocked viewers, with Matty (Beau Mirchoff) deciding to stay with Eva (Elizabeth Whitson) and her baby (since he is apparently the father), even after Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and Sadie (our fave Molly Tarlov) warned him that Eva is full-on crazy. Will Jenna be able to knock some sense into Matty, and maybe get him back in the process?

Awkward returns Tuesday, September 23 at 10:00 pm on MTV.

Faking It

faking-it-mtv

After Amy (Rita Volk) found out about Karma (Katie Stevens) and Liam (Gregg Sulkin) at the end of last season, Amy finally reveals to Karma that her feelings for her were real, only to have Karma tell her that the feeling is not mutual.  Meanwhile, Liam becomes upset when he finds out that Karma was lying about her relationship with Amy the whole time. Amy and Liam end up comforting each other about Karma’s behavior, and go further with each other than either of them expected.  Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

Faking It premieres Tuesday, September 23 at 10:30 pm on MTV.

Happyland

happyland-mtv-banner

Think living in a fairytale is all magic, wonder, and enchantment?  Think again.  This comedy-drama shows what life is really like behind the scenes at a fairytale themed amusement park.  Lucy (Bianco Santos) has lived at Happyland all her life, and just as she decides to break away, the arrival of a handsome new employee Ian (Shane Harper), who happens to be the son of the new owner of Happyland, makes her reconsider.  Although sparks fly, things cool off when Lucy finds out that Ian may be…her BROTHER.

Happyland premieres Tuesday, September 30 at 11:00 pm on MTV.

WEDNESDAY

Black-ish

blackish-abc-banner

A successful, African-American husband and father Dre (Anthony Anderson) struggles to bring a sense of identity and cultural heritage to his wife and four children, who seem to be sinking further and further into their white-dominated, upper-middle-class community.  Yara Shahidi (The First Family) and newcomers Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, and Marsai Martin star as Dre’s children.

Black-ish premieres Wednesday, September 24 at 9:30 pm on ABC.

Modern Family

modern-family-banner

Last season of Modern Family saw Adam Devine (Pitch Perfect) join the cast as recurring character Andy, Baby Joe’s “manny.”  Over the course of the season, we saw Hayley (Sarah Hyland) become more and more attracted to him, which is amazing because, as is pointed out by know-it-all sister Alex (Ariel Winter), Andy is exactly like their dad, Phil!  Although the season ended with not so much as a peck, the coming season is likely to focus more on this blossoming romance.

Modern Family premieres Wednesday, September 24 at 9:00 pm on ABC.

Nashville

nashville-banner

TV’s hottest country music night time soap is returning, after much speculation that the series would not be renewed for a third season.  This season we’ll be wondering who Rayna (Connie Britton) will choose, since both Luke (Will Chase) and Deacon (Charles Esten) proposed to her on the Season Finale.  Also, we always want more Hayden Panettiere!

Nashville premieres Wednesday, September 24 at 10:00 pm on ABC.

The Goldbergs

goldbergs-banner

After a successful first season, The Goldbergs are no longer the new family on the Wednesday night ABC block.  Last season ended with Barry (Troy Gentile) finally getting his crush Lexy (Ginny Gardner) to go out with him.  Hopefully we’ll see more of this adorable couple-to-be in the coming season.

The Goldbergs premieres Wednesday, September 24 at 8:30 pm on ABC.

The Middle

middle-banner

Last season ended with the Heck family taking what is supposed to be a fun trip to Walt Disney World, which of course gets hampered by numerous problems and obstacles.  The wacky Hecks will be back for a sixth season of The Middle.

The Middle premieres Wednesday, September 24 at 8:00 pm on ABC.

The 100

the-100-cw-banner

After an explosive battle between the remaining members of The 100, the Grounders, and the cannibalistic Reapers, a fourth faction, the heavily armed Mountain Men, seemed victorious; capturing just about everyone and bringing them back to their mountain compound.  Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Monty (Christopher Larkin) will have their work cut out for them this coming season.

The 100 premieres on Wednesday, October 22 at 9:00 pm on The CW.

Arrow

arrow-cw-banner

More sizzling action awaits on the hotly anticipated third season of Arrow.  Things are heating up between hero Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and trusted colleague Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).  Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) joins the cast this season as Ray Palmer/The Atom.

Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00 pm on The CW.

Red Band Society

red-band-society-banner

This dramedy focuses on a group of teens that meet while residing at a Los Angeles pediatric hospital.  Despite their differences, the young patients grow and learn from each other during their darkest hours.  Red Band Society stars Astro (Earth to Echo), Ciaro Bravo (Big Time Rush), Charlie Rowe (Neverland), and Octavia Spencer (The Help).

Red Band Society premieres Wednesday, September 17 at 9:00 pm on FOX.

THURSDAY

Reign

reign-banner

After an exciting first season, we left off with Mary (Adelaide Kane) telling Francis (Toby Rebgo) that he is the father of Lola’s (Anna Popplewell) baby, causing him to ride out to be with her despite warnings of impending Plague.  It seems that sickness and death are on the horizon for young Mary, Queen of Scots.

Reign premieres Thursday, October 2 at 9:00 pm on The CW.

The Vampire Diaries

vampire-diaries-banner

Still reeling from the supposed death of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) last season, Stefan (Paul Wesley) is about to be blindsided by a confession of love from Caroline (Candice Accola).  But what does this mean for Elena (Nina Dobrev)?

The Vampire Diaries premieres Thursday, October 2 at 8:00 pm on The CW.

Parenthood

parenthood-banner

The big shocker at the end of Season Five was that Haddie (Sarah Ramos) returned home from college with big news: she’s dating a girl.  Her parents were accepting of her newfound feelings.  We’ll see how this news will fit in with the ever-growing Braverman clan.

Parenthood premieres Thursday, September 35 at 10:00 pm on NBC.

FRIDAY

MasterChef Jr.

junior-masterchef-banner

The young adult cooking challenge is back!  Last season, 13-year old Alexander Weiss won it big with his exceptional culinary creations.  A whole new group of youngsters will take on the challenge this fall.

SUNDAY

Once Upon A Time

once-upon-a-time-frozen-banner

Fans of Frozen need to start watching Once Upon a Time ASAP!  After a very intense third season full of twists and turns, Season Four will heavily feature the characters Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff.  We can’t wait to see how Elsa (Georgina Haig) will make things even more complicated for our favorite fairytale characters.

Once Upon a Time premieres Sunday, September 28 at 8:00 pm on ABC.
