We can’t wait to talk to Monique about her role as Latoya. She speaks on her thoughts and experience with the film and cast members, and more. The film was released some time ago on March 31st on Disney+. For those who haven’t watched the show yet, this article will avoid extensive spoilers for those who haven’t. For those caught up with YEM’s articles, we have mentioned Prom Pact before in an interview. We had Executive Producers Julie Bowen and Anya Adams, including some members of the Prom Pact cast. But for those who need a refresher on the film, here’s a synopsis. Mandy Yang, portrayed by Peyton Elizabeth Lee, is at the height of her lifelong dream to attend Harvard. But upon being told that she’s wait-listed and that her only another option is to find a recommendation, she becomes involved with Graham Lansing, the son of a Senator/Harvard alumni. Surrounded by over-the-top Promposals and the desire to have her ambition become a reality, Mandy becomes Graham’s tutor. She slowly realizes that there’s more to him and Harvard. The movie came out to be a huge success.
The film came out on March 31st on Disney+. While it was originally supposed to be a Disney+ exclusive film, it premiered through the Disney Channel Network. The film received up to 182,000+ views in viewership. It was lauded for being more mature than most shows shown through the Disney Channel. Here’s a refresher on Monique Green! Other than her role as LaToya in Prom Pact, you might recognize her for her roles in media. You might recognize her as Jordan from An American Girl Story: Summer Camp, Friends for Life, Nicole from How To Get Away With Murder, Sandy from Fresh Off the Boat, Nina from I Am the Night, Renee from This Is Us, Debbie from Criminal Minds, Niecy from Black-ish, Olive Cooper from Big Shot, and Young Eva from Truth Be Told.
We first ask Monique if she’s on the “Get Ready With Me” trend from TikTok, and if she’s willing to share her routine with us. When asked how she prepares for a regular day, Monique first starts by waking up, meditating for a bit, brushing her teeth, and putting make-up on like her concealer and mascara. Monique mentions that she prefers to keep some simple makeup on for her daily, everyday life. When asked about LeToya’s start to the day, Monique explains how she’ll be waking up with some music playing. Monique continues by explaining that LeToya would then be brushing her hair, she’d be putting on some full face makeup, and she’d make sure that she’d get her nails done. Monique also mentions that LeToya would pair her outfits with some accessories as well.
When asked about portraying LeToya, Monique mentioned that she was a lot of fun to play, especially when playing with the dynamic between her and Milo. When asked if Monique did anything off-camera to help build any chemistry between LeToya and Milo, Monique mentioned that she didn’t. She talks about how she has spent a good, amount of time with Milo when they’re not rolling on set. They asked each other a series of questions that helped contribute to their character’s chemistry in the movie.
