The AMA’s are always an amazing spectacle. More grounded than the VMA’s, not as stuffy as the Billboard awards, Dick Clark’s conceived award show has proved to be a fan favorite. Entering it’s 40th year, performers include Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry and Rihanna. Nominees include Drake, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Usher with three bids apiece. Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, fun., Gotye, J. Cole, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, and Pitbull are each double nominees.Drake, Bieber, Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Rihanna are also in the running for artist of the year.
