Years earlier, Catherine witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two unknown gunmen. Catherine would have been killed too, but out of the dark, someone—or something—saved her. No one has ever believed Catherine, but she’s maintained it wasn’t an animal that attacked the assassins…it was a human. While investigating a murder, Catherine discovers a clue that leads her to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller, brought to brooding life by Aussie actor Jay Ryan. Keller was thought killed by enemy fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. Catherine uncovers that Vincent was the one who saved her many years before. Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years to guard his mysterious secret—when Vincent gets angry, he becomes a terrifying beast. As the beast he is unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses. Catherine agrees to protect his identity in return for any insight he may have into her mother’s murder. Catherine and Vincent are inexplicably drawn to each other yet both understand that their connection is dangerous.

Highlights: Kristin Kreuk really is a beauty through and through. Simply put, she’s charming to watch.
