IN DEVELOPMENT
NBC
After Breaking Bad and Godzilla, actor Bryan Cranston is stepping in to producing duties with the TV adaptation of The Dangerous Book for Boys, based on the book written by Gonn and Hal Iggulden. The comic series follows three teenage brothers who are given a special book from their dad as a guide for what to do after his death.
Beyond The Voice and American Horror Story, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine is developing a comedy series entitled Kids in America, which NBC is supporting. The semi-autobiographical show will focus on an unconventional family with an aspiring teenage rock star (and future sexiest man alive?) at the center.
FOX
Carrie Underwood’s hit single “Two Black Cadillacs” is serving as source material for a new show, about a dramatic love triangle in the modern American South.
ABC
If Arrow and the buzz-heavy Flash are any indication, superheroes are still hot, hot, hot. ABC is trying to join in on the fun by developing a yet-to-be-titled Supergirl project. We’re thrilled to be seeing more women be able to step up to the superhero plate! More soon…
Lifetime
Lifetime is hoping it’ll be three times a charm with If There Be Thorns, the third installment in their recently rebooted V.C. Andrew series Flowers in the Attic. Based on the novel of the same name, the sequel will star Jason Lewis and Rachael Carpani, playing siblings who live together with Cathy’s two sons and are unaware of the nature of their parents’ unsavory relationship.
Netflix
Netflix is going forward with the third and final season of Eli Roth’s Hemlock Grove, which features Bill Skarsgard and X-Man Famke Janssen.
