If you cried like a baby at the end of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” you owe a large part of your runny mascara to singer/songwriter Christina Perri and her poignant ballad  “A Thousand Years,” which closed the film.

Now, after an difficult wait for new music, Perri is back with a ferociously honest track called “Human,” which is slated to be the first single off her as-yet-untitled new album, scheduled to be out in spring 2014. You may want to grab some tissues because it’s a tear jerker!

Excuse me while I shriek with excitement (and tears!) at how amazing this song is. We love the important message and gorgeous vocals. This song is a welcome break from some of the new pop music out today. We can’t wait to hear the rest of the album in 2014!
