“Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3)” SYNOPSIS:
From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

WHY SHOULD YOU CHECK IT OUT?
We’re at the end of the lightly interconnected romance trilogy which started with ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS and continued into LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR. This one promises a sweet, happy ending, and we are ready for it! It’s bound to be the perfect end of summer read for romances fans.

The cover almost lost us, with its slow fade cool colors and city scape. But the romance rings true with the little white rose in the title. Hopefully it catches your eye, too!

In addition to this series, author Stephanie Perkins has also edited a YA anthology. Her upcoming novel departs from the romance though, into horror. She says of the project, “Yes, it’s a contemporary. The killer is not a supernatural creature. I’m talking about ye old traditional knife-wielding maniac. Yes, it will be bloody. Yes, it will be sexy. Yes, it will be scary.”

EARLY REVIEWS SAY…
Engaging teen characters with page-turning love lives offer ample vicarious pleasures. … Perkins’ characters are quirky and three-dimensional, and their sometimes-startling actions make them seem even more real… A satisfying dose of first love’s physical and emotional thrall. (Kirkus Reviews)

[T]he intimacy [Perkins] establishes between her characters through penetrating dialogue and insight into the agonies and ecstasies of first love would shine anywhere. … Isla’s vulnerability, coupled with her burgeoning sense of identity and desire to maintain her individuality in life and in love, makes her an especially rich character. (Publishers Weekly)
