About the Album: Rilo Kiley fans, rejoice! When rumors first hit regarding the new album, the internet broke. Now that we’re a little closer to go-time, it’s clear that not all the material is new but new doesn’t necessarily mean better. The 16-song collection includes nine previously unreleased tracks, as well as other demos, b-sides and additional lost gems. It’s a Rilo Kiley branded production through and through – the cover image wasdesigned by Rilo Kiley’s own Pierre de Reeder, and his label the Little Record Company label will be releasing the upcoming album. This is their first album in 6 years and they will be touring this summer.
Track Spotlight: “Let Me Back In” is the first single off the album and pretty emblematic of their new more mature direction. Things are a little more melancholic, but Jenny’s voice is sweet as ever and the delicate guitar work does nothing but add to the loveliness of the sound.
