About the Album: As Keys told us back in August, the title “Girl on Fire” — which is the name of her upcoming fifth album as well as its lead single — reflects “evolution and becoming more conscious and aware of who I am and what kind of life I want to have. You don’t just have to take the s— they dish out to you; you don’t have to take it.” She returns with her power vocals as well as toned down jazz and R&B based ballads. Girl power at it’s fiercest. Girl on Fire drops November 19th.
Track Spotlight: “Girl on Fire” is the titular track, with great reason. It’s a power ballad and reflects Keys’s grown up, take no prisoners attitude as both an artist and new mom.
