Agent 13 (Sharon Carter) – A secret ex-field agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent 13 is also known as Sharon Carter. She is to be played by Revenge‘s Emily VanCamp in Winter Soldier, and is allegedly an ‘occasional girlfriend’ to Captain America…
Ant-Man (Henry Pym) – This is not your parents’ Honey I Shrunk the Kids. With very strong ties to The Avengers, Pym/Ant-Man is credited in the comics with having invented Ultron, the main antagonist of the upcoming Avengers sequel. Our bet is that Ant-Man (or something related to his film) will somehow figure into Age of Ultron, perhaps in the now Marvel-standard stinger (post-credits scene).
Ant-Man 2 (Scott Lang) – A thief who at first steals the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym’s, suit, Lang becomes the doctor’s successor of sorts. With pre-production set to begin this month, casting (or rumors thereof) should begin soon.
Harold Attinger – The original Beast himself of X-Men: The Last Stand, Kelsey Grammer will play the aforementioned paranoid government official in Transformers 4.
Aunt May – Sally Field is back as Aunt May in Amazing Spider-Man 2, not to be confused with Auntie Em (from Oz) or Martha Kent (from Superman). |
Batman (Bruce Wayne) – The blogosphere and internet were a-rage a few weeks ago when it was revealed that Ben Affleck would be embodying The Dark Knight in Batman vs. Superman (he will be the fifth actor to portray the character in a major Hollywood film). We’re still wondering why this was so newsworthy? |
|
Batroc the Leaper (Georges Batroc) – Yet another villain slated for an appearance in The Winter Soldier, this French mercenary is an expert in martial arts, thusly deserving of his nickname the Leaper. Georges St-Pierre will take on the role; not exactly a stretch for this pro fighter! |
|
Beast (Hank McCoy) – Portrayed by Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer in X-Men: The Last Stand, the burly blue character of Beast was also brought into the prequel world of First Class, where the younger Hank was embodied by About A Boy‘s Nicholas Hoult.
Bishop – Another long-awaited favorite X-Man finally coming to life on the big screen in Days of Future Past, badass Bishop will be played by French-African actor Omar Sy. Bishop is able to absorb energy from any attack and deflect it at will. Also, he has lots and lots of guns.
Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) – Crossing over into the exclusive storylines of Captain America, this gifted Avenger is unique (along with Hawkeye) in that she does not pack any superhuman power—unless you count Scarlett Johansson’s extreme badass sexiness as one, of course.
Blink (Clarice Ferguson) – Hot pink hair and purple skin, this newer X-Man (as opposed to many of her teammates who started in the mid- to late-60s, Blink first burst on the scene in 1994) has the ability to teleport much like the similarly colorful Nightcrawler. She will be portrayed by Chinese beauty Bingbing in Days of Future Past. |
Cade – Shia who? Mark Wahlberg takes over leading man duties in this fourth foray into the world of Autobots and Decepticons.
Captain America (Steve Rogers) – Played by the irresistible Chris Evans, Captain America is that great icon of a superhero who combines unbridled American patriotism with amazing superhuman capabilities. Featured as a top Avenger, with a sequel in his own franchise out next year: Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Peggy Carter – Hayley Atwell will once again play this love interest of Captain America’s, a valiant fighter who still knows how to look good while mowing down baddies with a machine gun.
The Collector – Played by Oscar winner Benicio del Toro in Thor 2, this obscure cosmic character is one of the eldest living beings of the universe. He is a member of the Elders of the Universe, who are immortal. Intriguingly, this character is set to appear in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy as well…
Colossus (Piotr Rasputin) – Growing slowly in presence from X2 to The Last Stand, Colossus (played by Daniel Cudmore) is a Russian mutant with the ability to turn himself into iron (like the ‘original’ iron man!). In the comics, he becomes Shadowcat’s boyfriend; lets see if the characters follow suit in the next installment Days of Future Past.
Phil Coulson – Played by Clark Gregg, the death of this head agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. caused a shockwave in the first Avengers film. Curiously, though, his character is being resurrected as the lead in ABC’s new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Crossbones (Brock Rumlow) – The frightening henchman of the Red Skull, masked villain Crossbones will be portrayed by the dashing and dark-featured Frank Grillo in The Winter Soldier. |
Darcy – Underworld‘s Sophia Myles has been tapped to play this young scientist in Transformers.
Rhomann Dey – John C. Reilly will play the leader of the Nova Corps, an intergalactic military/police force that also has roots in The Fantastic Four‘s universe…
Donatello – The intellectual. Using a ‘bo’ or quarterstaff as his weapon, this purple-masked turtle is credited with using quick thinking to get the green gang out of trouble.
Drax the Destroyer – A regular guy gets vaporized by evil Thanos in the Mojave Desert along with his family, but other cosmic powers intervene and transfer his consciousness to a superhuman body infused with the desire to destroy Thanos. So was born Drax the Destroyer! |
Electro (Max Dillon) – The buzz (no pun intended) was literally palpable to get a load of Jamie Foxx as Electro at last year’s ComiCon. Spider-Man’s next nemesis is a jolt of a villain, able to control electricity in the most destructive of ways. |
The Falcon (Sam Wilson) – Appearing in the sequels Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Anthony Mackie (of We Are Marshall) will portray this historic comic book character: the first African-American superhero of all time. |
|
Fandral – Attention, casting changeup! Fandral, one of Thor’s sidekicks, was originally intended for Chuck‘s Zachary Levi in the first film. But when Chuck‘s season 3 order was extended from 13 to 19 episodes, Levi had to pull out, being replaced by Joshua Dallas. Fast forward to now for The Dark World, and Dallas’s commitment to Once Upon a Time created scheduling conflicts, thereby allowing Levi to step back into the role!
Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards) – The original stretchy man himself, the de-facto leader of the astronauts who become the radioactive quartet is a suave and very flexible dude, usually presented with graying sideburns. Which makes is a bit shocking to hear that young Miles Teller (of The Spectacular Now) is allegedly being for the role.
Vernon Fenwick – Arrested Development‘s Will Arnett will portray April’s cameraman—and rival—Vernon in TMNT.
Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons – Two agents with smarts, Fitz specializes in the engineering department while Simmons’ area of expertise lies in Biochemistry. Peas in a pod, the close partners are not yet cleared for combat at the series’ start. |
|
Jane Foster – She’s back, too! Who would have thought that Oscar winner Natalie Portman would sign on for a supersequel? After having a little fun in the first go-round in Thor, and with surely a nice paycheck to boot, it isn’t that far-fetched, in the end.
Frigga – It was a shame, and a detriment to the very male-dominated film as a whole, that nary a word was uttered by any Asgardian female in the first film, most notably Frigga (Rene Russo), Queen of the Realm. Not so in the sequel; the trailer for The Dark World even reveals her getting her fight on. Go, Frigga!
Nick Fury – Played by the inimitable Samuel L. Jackson, the leader and founder of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agency was an early indicator that all the Marvel films would soon crossover to produce the megahit Avengers: Fury appeared in the uncredited post-credits scenes of Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. |
Gamora – Portrayed by the sublime Zoe Saldana, who shined in the first Star Trek film, this lead character of Guardians of the Galaxy is the sole survivor of her species, adopted by the villain Thanos and trained in intergalactic martial arts. Saldana has been quoted as saying, “I was just excited to…play someone green.” Famously, she played someone blue in Avatar.
Groot – A tree-like entity who uses wood to gain strength and regenerate, Groot will be voiced and motion captured by Riddick himself, Vin Deisel, in Guardians of the Galaxy. |
Havok (Alex Summers) – Younger brother of (the now late) Scott Summers/Cyclops in the comics, Havok first appeared in X-Men: First Class, played by Lucas Till, with no concrete relation to the other Summers. Able to release massively powerful bursts of energy, Havok will be back in Days of Future Past.
Hawkeye (Clint Barton) – A partner to the Black Widow, this crackshot archer is played by Jeremy Renner in the Avengers franchise with an appearance as well in the first Thor film. This is definitely a guy you want on your team—he never misses his target, ever.
Heimdall – Idris Elba returns in The Dark World as this cosmic guardian of Asgard, who stands watch over the Bifrost, or rainbow bridge that connects Thor’s world with out own (and that of Jane’s, of course).
Maria Hill – One of the highest-ranking officials in Nick Fury’s planetary defense force S.H.I.E.L.D., Maria Hill is portrayed by How I Met Your Mother‘s Cobie Smulders in The Avengers, as well as the upcoming sequel Age of Ultron and on the new hit show of the fall TV season, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Hogun – The last of the Warriors Three, Hogun is a grim warrior who provides the gravitas to the trio of fighters. Played by Tadanobu Asano in both the first Thor as well as this fall’s follow-up The Dark World.
The Hulk (Bruce Banner) – After several tries, they finally got this character right, played in The Avengers by Mark Ruffalo—arguably the best part of this film. After Ang Lee’s misguided Hulk in 2003 with Eric Bana followed by the 2008 wreck Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton, it’s nice to see Joss Whedon handle this amazing character, next set to appear in Avengers follow-up Age of Ultron.
The Human Torch (Johnny Storm) – Another casting rumor around the web places Chronicle’s Michael B. Jordan in the role of Johnny Storm, who was originally performed by present-day Captain America cutie Chris Evans. |
Iceman (Bobby Drake) – Longtime love of Rogue (check out their Superhero Kiss in this month’s Top 10!) and sometimes distracted by Shadowcat, Iceman has been played by Shawn Ashmore in the original franchise with a reprisal slated for Days of Future Past.
The Invisible Woman – In a stroke of potential casting genius, it has been reported that Girls’ Marnie, the gorgeous Allison Williams, has auditioned for the role of Sue Storm (and Mr. Fantastic’s love interest). Let’s hope this happens!
Iron Man (Tony Stark) – While Thor might be too hokey for some, Robert Downey Jr. has experienced the ultimate late-career renaissance as the Man behind the Iron, with Gwyneth Paltrow at his side. This character has enjoyed top billing in both his own franchise as well as that of The Avengers. |
Joshua – Veteran actor Stanley Tucci—who plays Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games as well as a character in the first Captain America movie—is thrilled to appear in this franchise as well. |
Dr. Kafka – Dr. Kafka is the founder of the “Ravencroft Institute” where many of Spider-Man’s criminally insane supervilains, such as Electro, Rhino, Vulture, Carnage, and Doctor Octopus are said to be treated…
Karai – A ninja bad girl and member of the sinister Foot Clan, Karai has ties to Shredder and will be played by LA-born actress Minae Noji in Bay’s TMNT adaptation.
Martha Kent – Diane Lane has been once again tapped as Clark’s adoptive Earth mother Martha (or ‘Ma’) Kent for the Superman sequel, who supplied the emotional core of the cacophonous first film.
Korath the Pursuer – Djimon Honsou will play another baddie in Guardians, an ally to Ronan and Thanos. Hounsou took the role because of his son, stating “One day [my young son] looks at me and says ‘Dad, I want to be light-skinned so I could be Spider-Man. Spider-Man has light skin.’ That was sort of a shock. This is why I am excited to be a part of the Marvel Universe, so I could be hopefully provide that diversity in the role of the superhero.” –ScreenCrave
Kurse (Algrim) – This fierce Dark Elf is persuaded by Malekith the Accursed to fight The God of Thunder. Soon he becomes the fierce creature Kurse, played by Lost‘s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Watch out! |
Lois Lane – While Amy Adams is a consistently capable and engaging actress, her casting as Lois Lane could not have been more misguided in this summer’s failed Man of Steel. Let’s see if she’s able to make it work in this sequel/crossover big budget mishmash.
Leonardo – The leader. Wearing a blue bandana, the ninja sword-wielding leader takes closely after his master (Splinter) and often meditates.
Darcy Lewis – Two Broke Girls‘ Kat Dennings is being tapped again for her much-needed comic relief in the Thor sequel, as Jane Foster’s snarky best friend who pretty much gets to stand around and react jaw-dropped to all the comic book craziness going on, like any of us would.
Loki – Jokester Loki has always felt lesser than his big brother, and boy, does he know how to get even. Almost destroying New York (and the world) in The Avengers, Loki, well-played by the brilliant brit Tom Hiddleston, is back for more villainy in The Dark World. |
Machete – A villainous member of Winter Soldier’s Batroc’s (above) Brigade, this athletic and agile fighter is a formidable match for his foes, with unparalleled expertise in bladed weapons. Hence the name!
Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) – The ultimate villain with a rich and detailed backstory, it is (almost) always easy to understand Magneto’s motives, when they are both good and evil. Portrayed by Sir Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender.
Malekith – Malekith the Accursed is a supervillain not to be messed with. The ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, the principle villain of the Thor sequel The Dark World will be played by Heroes‘ and Doctor Who‘s Christopher Eccleston.
Melinda May – Played by Ming-Na Wen (the voice of Disney’s Mulan among many other credits), this ferocious female S.H.I.E.L.D. agent is a weapons expert and extremely talented pilot. .
Michelangelo – The party animal. Remember how ‘Cowabunga!’ took off in the late 80s? You have this guy to thank. Wearing an orange bandana, this pizza-loving green guy kicks butt with nunchucks.
Mystique (Raven) – Originally played by beautiful Rebecca Romijn in the original X-Men trilogy, the character of Mystique was brought into deeper, fuller relief by brilliant Jennifer Lawrence in X-Men: First Class as well as the upcoming follow-up Days of Future Past. |
Nebula – A Thanos henchman—or henchwoman—who “has an interesting and complex relationship with Gamora”. Scottish actress Karen Gillan shaved her head for the Guardians role.
Nova Prime – Played by the incomparable Glenn Close, Nova Prime is the namesake for crime-fighting space agency Nova Corps. |
Odin – Look who’s back, as well! Sir Anthony Hopkins, Hannibal Lecter himself, returns as King of Asgard and Thor’s father, a stern figure who knows how to keep his reckless son in his place. |
|
April O’Neil – And Megan Fox’s next move will be…playing April O’Neil?? After leaving the megahit Transformers franchise, Fox appeared in the slightly underrated Jennifer’s Body…but not much else to speak of. Let’s see if this flies.
Optimus Prime – The best-voiced superhero robot is back, with Canadian voice actor Peter Cullen at the mic once again.
Harry Osborn – Dane DeHaan is quickly making a name for himself as an effective everyvillain. The creepy kid from Chronicle is taking over James Franco’s role from the original Spider-Man series, setting the stage to become the Green Goblin in perhaps a later installment… |
|
Norman Osborn – The Hobgoblin himself will be brought to life by the excellent Academy Award-winning actor Chris Cooper; lets see if he does as dynamite of a job as equally excellent Willem Dafoe (who squared off as the Goblin in the Tobey films). |
Alexander Pierce – Robert Redford will bring this high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. operative to life, as Nick Fury’s right-hand man on various nefarious and heroic acts in Captain America 2. |
Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff) – This is one of the vital links between two mostly disparate Marvel universes: those of the Avengers and of the X-Men. Pietro is the son of Magneto, with the ability to exceed the speed of sound. Curiously, this character will be featured in both the upcoming installments of the two big Marvel franchises, but by two different actors: in X-Men: Days of Future Past he will be portrayed by American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters, while in Avengers 2 Aaron Taylor-Johnson of Kick-Ass will be taking on Quicksilver’s duties. |
Raphael – The angry one. Alan Ritchson, aka Aquaman from Smallville and Gloss from the next Hunger Games film, will take on the red bandana-donning turtle, whose weapon of choice is two ‘sai’, or Japanese long daggers.
The Rhino (Aleksei Sytsevich) – Since sequels always have to be bigger (and not necessarily better), this second foray in the Spider-Man reboot adds a double-whammy of villainy with The Rhino, played to the hilt by everyone’s favorite character acter Paul Giamatti.
Rocket Racoon – This playful (and slightly ridiculous?) character in Guardians of the Galaxy will be voiced by none other than Sexiest Man Alive Bradley Cooper—a genetically engineered raccoon who is an expert marksman and master tactician. (No joke.)
Rogue (Marie) – Sensitive, vulnerable yet incredibly dangerous and powerful, Rogue’s evolution from scared little girl to fierce superhero was a primary storyline throughout the first three X-Men films. Sookie Stackhouse Anna Paquin will reprise the role in next year’s Days of Future Past.
Ronan the Accuser – The excellent Lee Pace (also slated to appear in The Hobbit sequels) will portray another main antagonist in the film, Thanos’ admiral who hunts down the Guardians. |
Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) – The other special link holding the entire Marvel universe together, Wanda is Pietro’s twin sister, and daughter of Magneto in Marvel comic book lore. She is slated to show up in The Avengers 2, played by none other than Elizabeth Olsen.
Dr. Erik Selvig – Rounding out Team Earthling, Dr. Selvig will once again be portrayed by Stellan Skarsgård in Thor 2, who shines as the Crown Prince in next month’s newest Romeo and Juliet. Only time will tell if Selvig will be back on the good guys’ side, after falling under Loki’s control in The Avengers…
Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) – With the shadowy ability to move through any hard surface, Shadowcat was first brought to life by Juno‘s Ellen Page for the third installment of the original franchise, The Last Stand, back in 2006. Now, an all grown-up Page will reprise the role in next year’s Days of Future Past.
Shane – Jack Reynor will play Tessa’s boyfriend, a racecar driver (and surely those racecars aren’t just racecars), in Transformers 4.
The Shredder – This gravely-voiced villain is usually Japanese, but in this incarnation Caucasian actor William Fichtner (of Prison Break and a lot more) will be wearing the metal mask.
Sif – Kyle XY‘s Jaimie Alexander will once again play the fierce Sif, a beautiful Asgardian warrior who makes for some definite competition next to earthly (but also quite beautiful) Jane Foster (Natalie Portman, ahem). Let’s see who Thor goes for…
Jasper Sitwell – Another crossover character, this enterprising agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. has appeared in Thor, The Avengers and now Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Played by Maximiliano Hernandez.
Skye – The rookie recruit, Skye is the agent audiences will identify with most – a gifted computer hacker, she is also obsessed with superheroes and their mythology. Actress Chloe Bennett also portrays Hailey in TV’s Nashville.
Spider-Man (Peter Parker) – Regardless of whether you’re on Team Tobey (Maguire, of the ‘original’ three films) or Team Andrew (Garfield, excellent in The Social Network, the ‘new’ Spidey), it must be said that this timeless Marvel superhero has fared far better that certain other comic compatriots, especially one in particular who also features red in his suit and ‘man’ in his title.
Splinter – Veteran actor (and little person) Danny Woodburn will portray Master Sensei Spliter, a wise spiritual leader who also happens to be a large rat.
Captain Stacy – Another posthumous performance (of the character, not the actor!), Denis Leary will once again portray Gwen Stacy’s ill-fated father, murdered by The Lizard in the first Spider-Man film.
Gwen Stacy – While there was some speculation that Mary Jane Watson would appear in the Spider-Man sequel (personified by the one and only Shailene Woodley), the filmmakers wanted to focus the love story on Peter and his original love Gwen, played by the always superb Emma Stone.
Stan the Man – Stan Who? Stan Lee of course! A la the great Hitchcock, Mr. Lee as made sure to make a cameo in every Marvel film thus far. Keep it going Stan!
Star-Lord (Peter Quill) – Describing this Guardians of the Galaxy character, Parks and Rec‘s Chris Pratt has been quoted as saying, “He had a hard time as a kid, and now he goes around space, making out with hot alien girls and just being a rogue and a bit of a jerk, and through teaming up with these guys, finds a higher purpose for himself.”
Howard Stark – Father of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man), this character has been portrayed by three actors: Gerard Sanders and John Slattery, respectively, in the Iron Man films, and Dominic Cooper in the Captain America films. While the character’s role in the former films was minor, he figures greatly in the evil deeds of the latter films.
Storm (Ororo Munroe) – One of the most iconic of the original X-Men corps, Storm controls the elements themselves, while rocking a fierce white hairdo. Oscar winner Halle Berry will don the white wig once more in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
William Stryker – The dastardly arch villain of Wolverine so memorably personified by Brian Cox in X2, Stryker got a youthful makeover in the misguided X-Men Origins: Wolverine thanks to Danny Huston. But in Days of Future Past, The Pacific actor Josh Helman will be taking on the role.
Sunspot (Roberto da Casta) – Brazilian superhero Sunspot has the ability to harness and rechannel solar energy, and is another newbie addition to the crew of heroic mutants in Days of Future Past. The Following‘s Mexican actor Adan Canto will take on the role.
Superman (Clark Kent) – The well pec-ed Henry Cavill will once again don the red cape of Superman, in spite of the very lukewarm reactions to the first film in this second reboot of the Superman franchise. |
Tessa – Bates Motel‘s Nicola Peltz will portray Cade’s willful, and of course gorgeous, daughter, in Transformers 4.
The Thing – Last but certainly not least, we have the Hulk-like rock creature The Thing, aka Ben Grimm, who was brought to life by Michael Chiklis in the first go-round of the FF. Rumored to play him this time around? Park & Recreation’s Nick Offerman, who was reportedly miffed to not have been cast back in the day for the first film!
Bernadette Thompson – Whoopi! Whoopi! Whoopi Goldberg is slated to play someone named Bernadette in Bay’s TMNT. All we hope is that she has fun with it – it’s been over twenty years since her brilliant, Oscar-winning comic turn in Ghost!
Flash Thompson – Another character who has lots of potential, in the comic book lore Peter’s frenemy Flash eventually turns in to Venom, an alien entity who gives Spider-Man a lot more than he can handle. A spin-off film is in talks, but only time will tell…
Adrian Toomes – This sequel is packing it all in, introducing us to the character who eventually becomes Vulture, yet another vicious (and animalistic) foe to Spidey. To be played by Colm Feore, who also happened to appear in the first Thor film.
Thor – Perhaps the toughest ‘sell’ out of all the Avengers as the hero of his own contemporary Hollywood film, the first Thor film was surprisingly light and entertaining (thanks in no small part to direction by Kenneth Branagh). The hunky Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as the intergalactic Viking in this November’s sequel, The Dark World.
Bolivar Trask – Brought to life by Game of Throne‘s favorite Peter Dinklage, Bolivar Trask will surely be a standout villain in the next film; it is his Trask Industries that is responsible for the creation of the massively destructive Sentinel robots from the X-Men comic book lore.
Tyr – The Asgardian god of war, Tyr is one of Odin’s three biological sons, along with Balder and…Thor of course! Sibling rivalry runs deep, and we shall see what transpires between them in the new film. To be played by Clive Russell. |
Ultron – Set to be played by villain extraordinaire James Spader (remember his devious turns in Pretty in Pink and Wolf?), not much is known about this baddie from Avengers 2 except this – he will be real real bad.
Uncle Ben – Although murdered in the first Spider-Man film, Martin Sheen will return as Peter’s uncle, surely in flashbacks. |
Volstagg – Ray Stevenson will reprise his role of Volstagg, one of the boisterous Warriors Three (Fandral and Hogun being the other two), who support Thor’s heroics and bicker amongst themselves, supposedly supplying comic relief as well. |
Grant Ward – Actor Brett Dalton embodies this sometimes hard to take field agent, who is highly trained in hand-to-hand combat and espionage. Intense and stoic, Agent Ward knows how to keep his calm even in the height of the
Warpath (James Proudstar) – One of the new superheroes to be introduced in the next X-Men film, Warpath is an example (like Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch, in fact) of a supervillain who soon sees the light and switches alleigances. Of Native American descent, Warpath will be portrayed by Twilight‘s Booboo Stewart (no relation to Kristen).
Perry White – Morpheus! Laurence Fishburne will report back to The Daily Planet offices for this next foray into Metropolis, a film which will also most probably visit Gotham City as well…
Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes) – The titular Winter Soldier refers to a soldier whose story mirrors that of Captain America himself, involving many years of deep freeze before being thawed out by the Russians to become a brutal Soviet Assassin. To be performed by Sebastian Stan, aka The Mad Hatter from Once Upon a Time.
Wolverine (Logan) – The one, the only. Wolverine has been immortalized by Hugh Jackman in 6 – count em, 6 – X-Men films and Wolverine spinoffs, with no immediate signs of slowing down. If it ain’t broke… |
Charles Xavier – It’s difficult to choose which iconic character Patrick Stewart is most known for (Jean-Luc Picard of Star Trek, perhaps?), but Professor X comes close. With a literally shattering death scene in The Last Stand, we can’t wait to see how this master telepath/psychic—and founder of The School for the Gifted—is brought back in the next X-Men film, Days of Future Past. |
Yondu – Speaking of Avatar, there will be blue-skinned characters in this space film (Guardians). One is Yondu, a hunter/tracker with sixth sense-style intuition. |
Arnim Zola – Toby Jones reprises the role of brilliant scientist who was in league with the Nazis, causing quite the inconvenience for Captain America. In comic book lore, this character also causes problems for the Avengers at large. |
