It would seem that casting news for Young Adult Hollywood revolves around just a few hot and very in-demand names, and what a busy bunch they are! But because things change in showbiz faster than it takes them to put another superhero project into production, the names on that list are changing all the time. So to that end, we here at YA Mag will undertake the hefty task of keeping you up to date each month on who’s playing what, who’s not, and who should. The roles and stars everyone can’t stop talking about are all here…

 

FOX

It’s official. The musical extravaganza Glee will return for its 6th and final season for a reduced mid-season order of 13 episodes. The end of the series will be a return to form, focusing on the original core cast and especially Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison.

 

The CW

Arrow is about to get another superhero infusion in the form of Superman Returns’ Brandon Routh. Routh will play Ray Palmer, who is to become the Atom, a superhero who can shrink to microscopic size.

Other CW superhero news is Robbie Amell’s arrival on The Flash, the new Arrow spinoff. Amell will play Ronnie Raymond.

ABC

The Magic Mirror is back. Giancarlo Esposito is returning to Once Upon A Time as Sidney Glass, opposite the Evil Queen along with all our other fairytale favorites.

 

 

Nickelodeon

Anne Heche will voice the recurring character of Suyin Beifong in The Legend of Korra, the Avatar: The Last Airbender spinoff.

 

 

 

TV Land

Nick Roux, of Jane By Design and appearing on Pretty Little Liars, will take a recurring role on Jennifer Falls. Falls is about a working mother who moves back in with her mom when she loses her high profile job. Roux will portray Jennifer’s daughter’s boyfriend.

 

 

IN DEVELOPMENT

The Disney Channel has greenlit the pilot Bunked, which follows a tech-obsessed teen who must adapt to life at a middle-of-nowhere sleepaway camp. #firstworldproblems!
