Hocus Pocus 2 Cast

Of course, you are probably wondering who is going to be included in the Hocus Pocus 2 cast. The original lead actors Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker return to their famous roles as the wily, hilarious witches. In addition, Hellboy alum Doug Jones joins the adventure as a new character named Billy Butcherson. Tony Hale (aka Principal Worth from Love, Simon (2018)) will also be joining the ensemble, as a character named Mayor Traske, though it is currently unclear what his larger role in the story will be. So far, so good and we approve of the Hocus Pocus 2 cast.

There are also three new heroines in this film, named Becca (Whitney Peak), Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo). That all these actresses are unknowns makes it an especially enticing proposition for the fans of the first film, who will now be seeing a completely new set of protagonists take on their favorite trio of witches. With these three additional actresses joining the Hocus Pocus 2 cast, this movie is set to shine.

Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date

Furthermore, this long-anticipated sequel to what’s become a Halloween tradition for families everywhere, is being released on October 14, 2022. Now that we know the Hocus Pocus 2 release date, fans will likely want to dress up in costume and flood the cinemas on the big, spooky night, to witness the next chapter in the Sanderson sisters’ saga.

Now who’s at the helm of this fantastical romp? Originally, Adam Shankman (Bedtime Stories, Rock of Ages) was set to direct, but due to some scheduling conflicts, stepped down, with duties being handed off to Anne Fletcher (27 Dresses, The Proposal), working from a screenplay by Jen D’Angelo. Having only previously worked as choreographer for various sci-fi and fantasy films prior, Fletcher has a lot of expectations to live up to, given the voraciousness of the following for the original Hocus Pocus.
