Imogen Heap is one of our favorite artists and has been for years now. A long career filled with standout moments, she’s coming out with a new concept album that’s been in the works for the better part of five years. As much of her material, it’s sure to be amazing. In honor of Sparks being released on June 10th, we’re dedicating this TBT to one of Imogene’s breakout moments as an artist; the moment when her song was featured in 2005 on the season 2 finale of the OC in one of the most shocking moments on TV – Marissa shooting Trey.
The vocoded-vocal track ushered in a new type of sound, and the song, called “Hide and Seek,” was released to iTunes immediately after the show. Not surprisingly, it rocked the charts. It cemented Imogen as a superstar and changed the way people thought about using music in TV shows.
