Jesse McCartney In Technicolor

Jesse McCartney album coverAlthough it’s been a hot minute, Jesse McCartney is back with new music and it’s better than ever! McCartney’s new EP, In Technicolor Part I, is now available on iTunes and showcases a more unique, mature sound. Of the release through his own label, Jesse says, “I didn’t really see a point in releasing my own music until I had nailed down a sound that resonated with me. I’m inspired by 70s-80s dance music and wanted that to be the foundation. At one point, Ryan [Follese] and Nash [Overstreet] from the band Hot Chelle Rae asked me to write with them with a production team called The Elev3n for HCR’s album. We all wrote a song that totally fit the sound that I had been searching for. The guys from Hot Chelle Rae were very cool about letting me keep the song for myself, and now The Elev3n and I are finishing my whole album together. James [Morales], Matt [Morales] and Dave [Rodriguez] are like my musical brothers now.” And that close-knit nature shows on the tracks. The songs have a more soulful sensibility vocally. Thematically the songs deal with love and marriage and McCartney fans are sure to fall in love all over again. Our personal favorite is “Back Together” which recalls early Michael Jackson. Check it out now!
