Love, Victor’s Michael Cimino to Star in Brand New Disney Cartoon

Love, Victor fans who want more from its lead actor, Michael Cimino, won’t be waiting long: he’ll be voicing Kevin in the upcoming Disney cartoon-comedy Hamster & Gretel.

The sneak peek was released last week; in it, Kevin is driving his little sister Gretel (Meli Povenmire) to her soccer practice, when they’re suddenly visited by a UFO, commandeered by a power-giving alien. Fun, right? That is, for Gretel and her pet hamster. Kevin tries to test his powers out, only to find out that the hamster was chosen over him. Talk about bad luck.

Still, there’s no way he’ll miss out on all the fun. Though details about the new cartoon are scant at the moment, it looks super funny. Not that we’re surprised: it was created by Dan Povenmire, the co-creator of the beloved (and hilarious) Disney series Phineas & Ferb.

And yes, in case you were wondering: the hamster will (probably) speak. Though he had no lines in the teaser, he’s got a voice actor: SNL’s Beck Bennet. Joey King (The Kissing Booth) will also have a part as “Fred,” while former Vine star Thomas Sanders will play “The Naysayer” (oooo, sounds ominous).

Hamster & Gretel currently has no set release date, but will premier some time this summer.
