Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger season one finale airs tomorrow!

Two teens. Completely different lives. Drawn together by a disaster that devastated both of their families. Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) were given superhuman abilities, when an oil rig in New Orleans exploded. Tandy lost her father Nathan, one of the main scientists working for the Roxxon company on the rig, and Tyrone lost his brother when a police officer shot and killed him in the confusion.

The explosion gifted them with powers that allowed them to escape unharmed, but their lives were forever changed. Tandy went from a happy child with a wealthy family, to a con-artist stealing from rich kids, and Tyrone is now the star of his prep school’s basketball team.

Tyrone and Tandy meet by chance at a party, but the encounter is what triggers their abilities, changing their lives even further. Slowly, they figure out who the other is and what they are capable of doing with these new powers.

Tandy can see people’s hopes and dreams, while also conjuring a dagger that looks to be made out of light. On the other hand, Tyrone’s powers seem to be based around darkness. He can see fears and use the shadows to disappear and reappear somewhere else, helped by his late brother’s cloak.

Neither teen has forgotten about the people they’ve lost and in their own ways, they begin to use their powers to get justice. Roxxon wrongfully blamed Tandy’s dad for the explosion and the police department covered up what they did to Tyrone’s brother, Billy.

But, their quest for answers unleashes something that might just end up making things worse.

They’re what’s known as the Divine Pairing, destined to save New Orleans from absolute disaster, but at what cost?

“One will live and one will die.”

Also starring in the show, are Gloria Reuben, Andrea Roth, J.D. Evermore, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, and Jaime Zevallos. Be sure to catch the first season finale, this Thursday at 8/7c, on Freeform.
