After a 7-year time jump, Riverdale fans were treated to a newfound pregnancy by Toni Topaz. But who exactly is the father?

Riverdale has prided itself on piling up mystery after mystery with every passing season. Each season brought forth questions on top of questions. And sprouting hundreds if not thousands of fan theories to the craziest mysteries. The mysteries ranged from who killed Jason Blossom, who The Black Hood was, The Gargoyle King, and so on.
In the most recent season of Riverdale, we learn that fan favorite Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) is pregnant, with a secret baby-daddy. Even though we haven’t learned who the potential father is to Toni’s child is, showrunner Robert Aguirre-Sacasa told The Wrap that “There definitely will be an answer to that question [of who the father of Toni’s baby is], but we’ve got a few more episodes before that happens. But it is a big announcement when it happens, I will tell you that. It is a very big announcement when it happens.”
During the summer of 2020, Vanessa Morgan revealed in an Instagram post that she was pregnant with her first child. This led many die-hard Riverdale fans to speculate whether or not that major detail in Morgan’s life was going to play a role in the upcoming season’s 7-year time jump. In a tweet from December, Morgan seemingly confirmed the rumor that her character would in fact be pregnant, however she didn’t provide any more details. When the first episode post time jump premiered, Toni provided no answers to the new mystery. After Archie asked Toni who the father was to her baby, she insisted that she keep the identity of the baby-daddy a secret. Who could be this mysterious father? Here are a few likely suspects:
Kevin and Fangs
This is possibly the easiest answer one could think of. Not only that, but there are a ton of details that seem to point towards these two. The most obvious being is that Toni revealed that she is currently residing with the two of them. In the 7 year time jump, each couple unfortunately has broken up, except for Kevin and Fangs. It also isn’t that difficult to imagine that the two are wanting to have a child together.
Southside Serpent Sweet Pea
Aside from her former strong romantic relationship with Cheryl “Bombshell” Blossom, Toni has kept a strong connection with fellow Southside Serpent Sweet Pea. After their first introduction in season 2, the two have been close. And even though the main narrative focus of Riverdale hasn’t been on them, their bond remains as hard as a rock. Fans also know that Sweet Pea is the only other character in the town of Riverdale with Toni during the 7 years. These leaves Sweet Pea as a quality runner up on baby-daddy for Toni.
Loose possibilities – I’ve heard people throw everything out from Jason Blossom’s frozen sperm, to Toni seducing Hiram as a means of blackmailing him into getting the Whyre Wrym back. Another possible theory is Chad stealing an embryo from Veronica while she was in a coma after the accident and having Toni carry the baby. All of these are very Riverdale but feel entirely wrong for Toni. And often, extremely gross and off-putting.
