Who doesn’t love New Music Fridays? Young Entertainment has pulled together the best 20 songs that we listening to right now. See some familiar tunes or ones you haven’t heard before? Make sure to check out the Young Entertainment Spotify to see all the playlists!
First up is a new release by Olivier Tree. “Swing & a Miss” is a song everyone can relate to. Ever attempt something that ends with a failure? Oliver Tree takes the perspective that sometimes it’s not even worth it to try. Our favorite line from the song is, “You’ll lose the moment like you’re not here/Baby, you can blink, you won’t miss it, my dear/You act like missing out is your only fear.” Next is Bruno Mars who is always on a comeback. His latest music with Anderson Paak has been oh so groovy so we’ve added “Love’s Train.”
Of course, there is a fair share of pop on the list so make sure to check out “Fast Times” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Boyfriend” by Dove Cameron, and “STAY” by Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber. Need a breakup song? “She’s all I wanna be” by Tate McRae, “Letter to ur Ex” by Mahalia, “Funeral” by Stef, and “Easy On Me” by Adele are ready for the broken hearts.
It wouldn’t be a Young Entertainment Music Friday without some Encanto. Included in the playlist are “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, “Surface Pressure”, “TheFamily Madrigal”, and “What Else Can I Do?” Try finding a show that is bigger than Euphoria at the moment is a hard task, so in the playlist is the Euphoria theme, “All For Us” by Labrinth and Zendaya, and “Mount Everest” also by Labrinth.
Also included in New Music Friday is the newest single by Coldplay our girl Selena Gomez, “Let Somebody Go.” The line, “When I called the mathematicians and I ask them to explain/They said love is only equal to the pain,” could perhaps make anyone cry. Make sure to also check out “Trouble” by Troye Sivan and Jay Som. There is no forgetting the latest single by the songwriting masters, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. “The Joker And The Queen” is a beautiful melody. It is filled with piano riffs that make the heart flutter.
