New To The Party

Singer-songwriter-powerhouse Darla Beaux is not your average high schooler

Young songstress Darla Beaux might only be in the 9th grade, but make no mistake; this powerful and adept singer can run with the best of them, able to pull off challenging tracks like the Oscar-winning James Bond tune “Skyfall” originally crooned by none other than Adele. Darla, already a bit of a YouTube sensation, has an EP out later this month and couldn’t be more thrilled. “I love performing for people and seeing everyone’s reaction, and the feelings that I give them while I’m singing!” she gushes.

To get a taste of what she’s talking about, all one needs to do is play some of her performances. Singing on the strip in Vegas since she was ten years old (and that was only 4 years ago!), Darla is now back and forth to LA often, with a budding singing and acting career while she is home schooled. Her career aspirations are about as high as her mighty and soaring notes, and specifically she dreams of going on tour someday (especially to Japan). Additionally, “I really would like to work with Jessie J, because I think her vocals are amazing,” Darla states emphatically.

Her poppy and fun EP – featuring the well-timed “Summer Dream”, will be available on iTunes March 19th. When asked to give advice to other aspiring young performers on what they can do to make it, Darla responds, “It will get hard. It’s gonna be a lot of work, but you can’t give up on what you’re doing. Because, if you give up, then you for sure won’t get anywhere, but if you keep fighting for it, you’ll definitely get somewhere!”
