Don’t move dinosaur fans, the official trailer for the new Jurassic World has landed. Four years after being released into the world, it has become clear that dinosaurs and humans cannot coexist. Especially not with the predators. But what can be done about it now? Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing in the last installment of the Jurassic World series. Starring alongside them are Isabella Sermon as Maisie Lockwood, BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, and Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcom. The trailer offers two surprises that will be sure to get fans talking.
First is original Jurassic Park trilogy star Laura Dern is reprising her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler together with Sam Neill coming back as Dr. Alan Grant. This is the first time that Goldblum, Dern, and Neill will be in the same Jurassic movie since the original 1993 film. Will they be able to bring that same energy to Dominion? Only time will tell. The second surprise is that fan-favorite raptor Blue is no longer alone; she has a baby in tow. What this might mean for her and former handler Grady is currently unclear, but it’s bound to make things interesting. Plus, there also seems to be a new raptor on the scene, this time with fossil accurate feathers. Why this series is bringing in an accurate raptor design now after not doing so since the 90s is unknown, however it is nice to see all the same.
With the series ending with Dominion, will any more Jurassic media be in the works? Or has the world finally had enough of dinosaurs killing people? One thing’s for sure, if the trailer’s anything to go by, at least they’re going out with a bang.
