Raising Hope returns for it’s third season Friday, November 8th. As a refresher, last season’s finale opened with a brusque “Lucy’s alive. Deal with it.” When we left off, Hope’s serial killer mom, Lucy, was miraculously (insanely?) alive after being electrocuted as part of her death sentence, and the family was fighting tooth and nail for custody over our namesake bundle. And thankfully, Hope ended up back in the arms of her rightful guardians. In court, the Chance family came face-to-face with the harsh reality of their truth: These loveable oddballs are often not the most careful, safe or moral bunch. Questionable circumstances for a baby to be raised in. After multiple testimonials, there was enough evidence against the Chances to convince the jury and to hand Hope over to her crazy mom. Jimmy decided to accompany his wife (yes, he and Lucy ARE STILL married) to Tibet in order to be with Hope…However, before they could jet off, everything went down the toilet. Lucy tried to kill Sabrina, but before she could get ten steps in her direction, she was hit by Smokey Floyd’s bus! So, R.I.P. This upcoming season is sure to be as chock-full of craziness as ever.
