Revolution imageWhat would life be like without electricity? What if one day someone turned the electricity switch off? Trains and cars stopped where they were, ships went dead in the water and planes fell from the sky and crashed. Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future after all of the electricity on Earth has been disabled in one single night. Over the next fifteen years, people must adapt to a new life. Due to the collapse of government and public order, warlords and militias now rule many areas. At the start of the series, North America has been split into at least six nations.

The surviving Matheson family; including Ben, Charlie, and Danny, now live near what used to be Chicago. They possess a pendant-shaped device, like a USB, that is the key to not only finding out what happened fifteen years ago, but also a possible way to reverse the effects.

Miles, Charlie and Aaron take off on a journey to Philadelphia to find her Uncle Miles and where The Tower awaits, reportedly holding the answer to turning the electricity back on.

Jason Neville is a member of the militia, working for his father Captain Tom Neville.

He is given one order: pretend to be a survivor of The Blackout and make friends with Charlie Matheson and her group. Jason must keep deceiving them until they locate what they are searching for, Miles Matheson, who seems to be the only one who has information about the Blackout now.

Jason stages himself in order to meet Charlie. She watches him with his bow and arrow thinking she is unnoticed. Jason tells her that he knows she is standing behind him. Charlie replies that she is just filling her canteen. The two go their separate ways. Later that night, Charlie’s group runs into trouble and gets mugged by three bandits. One of the thugs started to drag Charlie to the cockpit to potentially rape her. Jason, hearing the commotion, kills the bandit with an arrow. He successfully gains the groups’ trust and travels with them to locate his primary target, Miles Matheson. Charlie and Jason hit a rough patch in their relationship after some of their group gets murdered. Charlie wonders if she can really trust Jason.

In the season finale, Jason helps his father take over the Monroe Militia but makes it imperative that Charlie and her mother come out alive, showing that he still loves her. As the group makes the harrowing trip to the Tower, Charlie and Jason continue their relationship. Tune in this season to see the fate of the continent and Charlie’s doomed love story.
