SDCC: First Footage Shown of ‘Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie’

Fans at San Diego Comic Con were treated to the very first footage of Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie.  Series creator, Craig Bartlett appeared at the panel to introduce the sneak peak.  The film will pick up right after the events of the original series.  The segment shows a video tribute to Arnold that demonstrates all the great things he has done throughout the series.  Moreover, it functions as a recap for fans who have been missing Arnold for over ten years.  Many fan favorite characters make an appearance such as Stoop Kid, Pigeon Man, and Dino Spumoni.

Bartlett also discussed the story behind the film.  The video tribute wins Arnold and his friends an adventure trip to the jungle.  While there, Arnold hopes to use this trip to finally find out what happened to his parents. Gerald, Helga, and Pheobe will join Arnold on his adventure.  As you can see below, the four of them will feature new outfits for their jungle adventure.

The TV movie is reuniting original cast members Francesca Marie Smith, Anndi McAfee, Lane Toran, Jamil Walker Smith, Dan Castellaneta, Tress MacNeille, Dan Butler, Jim Belushi, Maurice LaMarche, Kath Soucie, and many more.  Joining the cast is Mason Vale Cotton and Benjamin “Lil’ P-Nut” Flores, Jr. as Arnold and Gerald.  Also joining is Alfred Molina, voicing Lasombra.  Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie will air in November of this year.
