Why I love YA:
First, I love the fact that in YA you pretty much always have a young adult as the main character, and it's someone who is focused on changing the world for the better —
— Young Entertainment Magazine (@YoungEntmag) July 29, 2021
I also love that with YA protagonists you have people who are going through major changes in life. They're becoming new people, changing names, relationships, learning new things, leaving one community and joining another. It's very dynamic and interesting and fun.

The MCs in the Crescent Stone are high schoolers just trying to survive getting thrown into the deep end of a fantasy world. One of them has a terminal illness, the other is in the midst of deep grief. AND when they recognize the world is broken, they want to fix it.
— Young Entertainment Magazine (@YoungEntmag) July 29, 2021
And I like humor. YA is often more loose with the jokes and I am a big fan of that.
— Young Entertainment Magazine (@YoungEntmag) July 29, 2021
There's a book coming out next week called JOURNEY TO LOVE by @mattmikalatos. It's all about how to find more love in our lives, and how to be more loving. Comes out next Tuesday! Check it out! pic.twitter.com/RGsifgo2IM
