Switched at Birth, S03E02 – Your Body is a Battleground

Switched at Birth opens on the morning after, and Bay is super pissed that Toby and Daphne made her agree to join the field hockey team when she was too drunk to make a good decision. Toby proposes that Bay can work on her art from the bench and get out of PE if she joins. They really need the numbers apparently and Bay is cool with those terms. Toby tries to get kids interested in the team, especially Sharee, who plays basketball and scored 600 points last season. Daphne’s not impressed, that is until he tells her that Sharee was suspended for the last half of the season. Toby gets mad at practice because Bay is really not coordinated or good at the sport.

So Daphne sucks it up and challenges Sharee to a basketball game. First to 10 baskets wins. If Daphne wins, Sharee joins the team, and if Sharee wins, Daphne has to drive her to school every day. Daphne really puts up a fight, but Sharee wins 10-9. Impressed, Sharee shows up for practice, just in time to save Bay. Daphne’s relationship with Campbell grows. As does Tank and Bay’s relationship. Through art they become closer and break down new walls in their connection.
