About the Album: It’s easy to forget that Destiny’s Child was made up of THREE insanely talented women, not just the powerhouse that is Beyoncé aka Mrs. Carter. Kelly Rowland has had three successful solo albums and her fourth, Talk a Good Game formerly titled Year of the Woman, Rowland’s fourth album is due for release on June 18, 2013. The album will see Rowland focusing on her R&B roots. Songwriters and producers on the album include Rico Love, Lonny Bereal, Sean Garrett, Rodney Jerkins, Diane Warren, and The Runners, among others. Beyoncé and Michelle in fact make a joint appearance on one of the tracks. “Ice”, featuring Lil Wayne, was released in August 2012 as the album’s first single. “Kisses Down Low”, the second single, was released in February 2013. Lonny Bereal was quoted saying: “She’s going in so hard with the R&B. Of course, she is going to give the Pop crowd what they’re looking for. But, she really is returning to R&B on this album. Her delivery is real confident now. It’s definitely a new Kelly Rowland. She wouldn’t even let me put autotune on her voice this time round. She was like ‘No, I want people to really get me’. The Dream and Kelly will be jointly touring this summer.
