On this week’s Teen Wolf we got to see a younger Chris. He was 18 and in Japan and also provided us with an introduction to the masked warriors. In the attack shown in the flashback, Chris managed to escape, but didn’t retain knowledge of what the warriors were up to. A man named Katashi aka Silverfinger survived the attack. In the present day, Chris was looking for him to get answers. We see Kira sneaking home in the morning after an entire night out with Scott. Scott is worried about the fact that Kira knows now what he truly is, but teen romance prevails and she seems okay with it. The twins decide to protect Scott from the masked warriors / ninjas from hell. Scott is appreciative of their concern, but their 24 hour surveillance is cramping his style and also stopping him from being able to find out whether or not these guys are after Kira. Scott approaches Stiles about the problem, and Stiles reveals his writing on the board aka the message to Barrow. All of the evidence is gone, however, and leaves them with no leads. Chris tries to track down Katashi, but isn’t able to turn that into a productive lead, either. He sets off to find his old enemy with Allison and without Chris. Isaac kind of freaks out about this but a little encouragement from Allison helps boost his confidence. Stiles checks himself into the hospital for his hallucinations and insomnia. Melissa cross checks his records with his mother’s and finds that she also had the same mysterious symptoms. Back with Scott and Kira, she tells him she thinks she may be a kitsune because of her ability to control electricity. Just when the electricity is turning up between them, however, McCall arrives at the house. McCall is promptly attacked by the warriors and is injured, but just when things are getting really messy, Derek and the twins show up to check in on Scott. While those three push back the warriors, Melissa triggers a security system that Deaton helped install, and the warriors finally flee. Katashi explains a lot of warrior mythology, suffice to say that one of the kitsune is possessed by an evil spirit and must be killed by the oni. McCall gets taken to the hospital just in time and when Scott goes to find Stiles, the audience sees that he’s possessed by the nogitsune. Before Scott can see it, however, Stiles returns to normal. Do you think that Stiles will die because of the nogitsune? What about McCall’s near-death experience? Teen Wolf is getting crazier, but we kind of like it.
