From lupine to heroic, actor Colton Haynes’ impressive journey has taken him from werewolf saga Teen Wolf to superhero spectacle Arrow in just three short years.
On the former series, Colton exploded onto the scene as Jackson Whittemore; rich, conflicted, adopted. His transition to werewolf (at the hands of alpha Derek Hale) was corrupted by his inner strife, and thus was born the Kanima, a fierce and vicious creature who poses a real threat to Scott and company.
Arrow, however, is a different story for Haynes, who embodies the sidekick-like Roy Harper, a good guy (for the most part) who dislikes the preppy and rich (i.e., folks like Jackson) and is a sometimes petty thief. One interesting parallel between the two characters? Mysteries surrounding their unknown mothers: on Teen Wolf, Jackson’s mother was said to have died in a car crash, while on Arrow Roy is the son of an alleged drug addict or so we think?
Below is a chart comparing the two characters. Which Colton character do you think is more memorable?
