The Fosters isn’t a show to shy away from controversial topics. This season alone we’ve covered the morning-after-pill and bullying. Let’s take a closer look…Moms Stef and Lena were forced to make a difficult decision when they discovered that their son Jesus has unprotected sex with his girlfriend Lexi. THIS IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA. Without consulting Lena, Stef gives Jesus and his girlfriend the morning after pill. This is the best way to get into an argument with a partner, even if it also prevents unwanted pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Lena was dealing with Jude. Jude gets picked on in school for having his nails done. Jude isn’t a stranger to getting picked on for his choices; Callie’s tried her best to protect him in the past, but there’s only been so much she could do. Lena ends up helping Jude in a real way – he stands up to his bullies peacefully and stands by his choices. It’s a testament to Lena’s parenting. In the future, Stef and Lena will again put their focus on Jesus and his girlfriend Lexi. A family dinner might blow up in everyone’s faces when talk turns again to Jesus and his sexual choices. And in case you feel like Callie is being neglected – not to fear, she has plenty on her plate. Between her foster brother Brandon and love interest Wyatt she seems full up…that is until someone from Callie’s past is back. ABC Family teases a party in the upcoming episdoes, as well as some audition drama. Will you watch?
