Last episode we saw the final battle round of The Voice! The battle rounds are the most brutal of all. Setting two talented singers up against each other continues to keep the audience guessing as to the fates of their favorites. The heartbreak is tempered for some by the “coach steal.” This is when the other coaches can scoop up unpicked singers for their own teams, turning losers back into potential winners with just the touch of a button. Sometimes more than one coach made a play for a contestant, and then it the heat was really on. But for those who don’t get picked by their coaches and are passed over by the rest, it was double the rejection. Le sadness. More industry mentors were seen. Did your favorites make it through? Let’s take a look!
Holly Henry, 19, went against Cilla Chan, 22, with “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia. Blake chose Holly as he thought she was could really rise up to the challenge of the competition. Preston edged out Barry with his restrainted approach to the Temptations “I Wish It Would Rain.” Olivia Henken, 25, and Stephanie Anne Johnson, 29, sang “Done” by The Band Perry.
