Each week, an accomplished published author takes over the YEM Twitter account. Each week, the YA author will answer questions, tell stories, and give advice on our social media. This week young adult author Brandon Dayton will be taking over our Twitter account.

Brandon has worked in animation, illustration and concept art. He has created concept art for multiple titles for EA Games and for Disney Infinity. In 2009 he self published his first mini-comic, Green Monk. In 2017 he was a contributor to Jim Henson’s Storyteller: Giants anthology.

Almost ten years ago Brandon released a little mini-comic called Green Monk. It went on to be selected for the 2011 YALSA Top Ten Great Graphic Novels For Teens Booklist. Flash forward to now. Two video game studios and two kids later Brandon has expanded on the little story that started in 2009. Green Monk: Blood of the Martyrs is beginning of legend. It’s the origin story of Alexey, the wandering monk and how he came to possess the Greenblade.
