Tomorrow People S01E15 “Enemy of My Enemy”

Tomorrow People image

The episode begins with Julian is apprehended trying to break into Ultra headquarters.  John is still crashing on Stephen’s couch, and as much as Stephen loves John’s french toast he tells him he needs to get back to the others, and to Cara.  Flashback to when John and Cara first met; he brought her in off the streets after she fell out with Julian’s crew.  She owes her life and position to him.  Stephen goes to Astrid’s house but she’s upset because of the whole ‘nearly being killed’ thing, and Stephen gets a face full of door.  Jedikiah is about to ‘sterilize‘ Julian, but Julian cuts a deal with him to bring him Cara instead and meanwhile Stephen goes to tell Cara that Julian has been caught by Ultra.  Jed decides to plant a bomb on Julian that will automatically detonate in eighteen hours – a little insurance so that he finds Cara.  Astrid Skypes Stephen but John picks up, and she tells him she’s having trouble leaving the house.  He goes to see her.  She can’t eat, sleep … she’s destroyed.  She confesses that she’s scared to see Stephen.  Back at Ultra, Stephen goes to keep tabs on Julian and finds that he’s already left with a crew to track down some paranormals.  Cara and Russell are out on a raid in a supermarket and Julian finds them there, tying them all up and then torturing Cara.  Stephen surreptitiously frees them but Julian definitely smells a rat.  John takes Astrid out, shows her that her fear doesn’t have to own her and the two have a bonding moment.  The TPs’ baby paranormal, Charlotte, has gone out to find John on her own and Julian puts a tranquilizer dart in Stephen and takes Charlotte.  When Stephen goes to Ultra, he finds that his security clearance has been temporarily revoked whilst Julian’s mission is ongoing.  Julian finds out that Ultra has Charlotte and goes back to the lair to get his gun.  Russell sees him and starts crying like a big girl.  But John tells Cara that nothing has changed; he’s going to rescue Charlotte alone.  Julian has worked Charlotte over pretty good and takes a kill squad to the location of the Tomorrow People, inviting Julian along.  Something fishy is going on, and we find out that he’s using Stephen as leverage… damn.  The TP’s get word that a raid is imminent; John refuses to go to the safe house with the other TP’s and he and Cara have an angry kiss when he says he belongs by her side.  When the kill squad arrive, Cara tries to surrender but Julian decides to kill her and Stephen gets called out as a rat when he saves her.  Nevertheless John and Cara capture Julian; Jed tries to stop the bomb from detonating but the lair is too deep underground and poor old Julian goes splat.  Luckily, this gets Stephen off the hook with Jed.  But Jed isn’t off the hook with Stephen – he’s pissed that Jed is sending Charlotte back to the Citadel.  Luckily Russell manages to rescue her before this happens.  Astrid seems to be on the mend and so is John’s relationship with Cara.  Smoochy smoochy … all’s well that ends well. How is pesky going to rain on their parade now?  Tune in next time to find out.
