With 2025 inching closer and closer to its conclusion, and 2026 just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane and remember what an incredible year it was in entertainment. As we reflect on this year, Young Entertainment has found and highlighted some of the best Young Adult entertainment content we could find. Whether through films, television shows or music, every genre plays an integral part in the lives of Young Adults, which is why YE wants to celebrate it. So, without further ado, here is YE’s Top 5 Lists of 2025.
From prequels to unique plots, so many new shows captured our hearts and attention in 2025. Here are our favorites:
1. We Were Liars
When We Were Liars was first released in June, it immediately became a hit as Prime Video’s number one new show. Set on Beechwood Island, Cadence Sinclair Eastman, part of the wealthy Sinclair family, returns to the island to uncover the truth about a mysterious accident that left her with amnesia. The show stars Emily Alyn Lind and features Candice King and more and deals with themes of privilege, family loyalty and the impact of trauma.
2. The Runarounds
The Runarounds is a real life story of recent high school graduates who form a band in the hopes of escaping the futures that are already laid out for them. They fall in love and intro trouble along the way. The show was created by Outer Banks creator Jonas Pate and is incredibly inspiring for young people pursuing their dreams, especially in the music industry. Young Entertainment had the opportunity to interview some of The Runarounds cast earlier this year who spoke about the importance of chemistry on set.
3. The Thundermans: Undercover
You may remember watching The Thundermans from 2013 to 2018 and Phoebe and Max returned this year in The Thundermans: Undercover. The show follows Phoebe, Max, and Chloe who are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the seaside town of Secret Shores. While on this mission, they aim to develop Chloe’s superhero abilities. Since first starring in the show, Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin have continued to shine and we got the chance to ask them more about reprising their roles in an exclusive interview.
4. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire
Starring Kenzi Richardson, Vampirina: Teenage Vampire follows Vee Hauntley, who leaves Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. While living among humans she pursues her passions while trying to keep her vampire identity a secret to avoid the Van Helsing vampire hunters. Yet she also has to navigate when her parents send a ghost to accompany her and one of her classmates is a Van Helsing. The show has become one of the most popular on Disney, as a fun sitcom with some light scares. Check out our exclusive interview with Kenzi here!
5. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman
This animated series explores Peter Parker’s origin story and early days on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series is set in an alternate timeline unlike one you’ve ever seen before as Norman Osborn becomes Parker’s mentor instead of Tony Stark. We chatted with Hudson Thames, who voices Peter Parker/Spider-Man, earlier this year and because of its popularity, it has already been renewed for two more seasons. Hudson said his favorite scene to voice was the scorpion fight scene.
