Heroes x Villains “Twerk” // Teen Wolf, Season 4 Episode 9

Well goodness me, doesn’t Twerk seem to be the buzzword this year. Potential entry for the Oxford Dictionary’s word of 2014? Probably. This trap song plays as Scott questions Malia and Liam as the three of them are all drunk. The style of music is as of the moment as the word itself, and Heroes x Villains are well known on the dance circuit, hailing from the dirty south and having remixed artists like Knife Party, Major Lazer and Ciara for more than a decade. Check out the track below:

Elizaveta “Meant” // Pretty Little Liars, Season 5 Episode 11

Spencer and Emily talk about Allison over coffee, and this crashing, classical sounding piece by Elizaveta accompanies them in the background. Elizveta has an obvious talent for piano composition and a voice that’s reminiscent of Regina Spektor. Elizaveta’s full name is Elizaveta Khripounova, and she’s a Russian American who was born in New York and raised in Moscow. Her first album was produced by Grammy Award winner Greg Wells, who previously worked with Adele and Katy Perry. Check out her awe inspiring piano skills below:

Grace Mitchell “Your Design” // Switched at Birth, Season 3 Episode 21

This song is playing as Daphne and Bay wait at the police station as Daphnes actions start to catch up with her. Its a poignant scene and the music reflects that. Theres not much known about Grace yet, but we do know that shes only sixteen years old and she comes from Portland, Oregon. She also had a track, Maneater(a Hall and Oates cover) on the soundtrack of Ben Stiller movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Watch this space, and in the meantime check out her powerful track here:

Betty Who “Right Here” // Pretty Little Liars, Season 5 Episode 11

This is the song that’s playing as Toby tries to get Caleb to confront his drinking demons. The music is a super chill track by Betty Who, an Australian singer/songwriter who lives in New York. Her real name is Jessica Anne Newham, and she attended the same music school as Norah Jones and Rufus Wainwright! This track comes from her second EP, Slow Dancing. Check it out below:

Magic Man “Paris” // Teen Wolf, Season 4 Episode 9

This song plays as the coach talks to the lacrosse players about the bonfire. It’s a cheerful, pure pop track from the five piece who formed in 2010. This song debuted at #39 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in February of this year, and was also featured on their debut album Before the Waves, which is an awesome sampling of ebullient pop joy that we highly recommend.
