I’m going to walk right up to him, strutting through the classroom door
Hand him a card that says secret admirer and say, “Toots, this is for you”
Wink my eye, flash my smile and say, “Oh yea, it’s from me, too!”
I’ll turn my head and walk away with the confident sway of a cat
I’ll count to three, he’ll call my name and say, “Wait, come back!”
I have the moment all planned out, I know just how to act
Slowly, I’ll turn to be met by my… teacher?
Saying, “This is the middle of class”
Here I am sitting half a world away on the other side of the room
I don’t really care what the teacher has to say I just want class to be over soon
I want to have my dream Valentine’s Day– the ones you see on TV
I want all the bears in the world and I love chocolate candies.
I want the red roses, the candy grams, and man candy by my side
Take me out to the movies after, as the day topples into the night
If I had a time machine, I would chose to be stuck here in this moment
Because this will only happen in my dreams
Reality is such a torment!
