The YA Must List

1. The Vanishing Season- Jodi Lynn Anderson

The author of Tiger Lily does it again with another chilling, twisting, turning mystery in The Vanishing Season. The book chronicles a town in turmoil after girls start disappearing and being murdered one fall. A coming of age tale that recalls The Lovely Bones, don’t miss The Vanishing Season

2. School Dance

Nick Cannon is one of the busiest men in Hollywood and his foray into directing is edgy and funny. High school hijinks ensue and Jason has to overcome an overbearing mother, an overprotective mother and more to get the girl of his dreams. Anastacia.

3. Perfected- Kate Jarvik Birch

Fans of dystopian novels will love Perfected, the stunning debut from Kate Jarvik Birch. Ella will be forced to choose a life of gorgeous gowns and veiled threats or go underground and take a chance on herself and love in a time when people can be genetically engineered and raised as pets. It’s creepy and exhilarating all at once.

4. Some Fine Day- Kat Ross

Kat Ross takes dystopian futures into new territories with this cutting edge sci-fi novel that follows a world where storms have ravaged continents for decades and amphibian hybrids roam and terrorize nations. Unlike anything out right now, Some Fine Day is a fast-paced read sure to bring you in quickly and keep you reading until the end.

5. Robin Thicke, ‘Paula’

After an album that ruled charts for almost a year, Robin Thicke is back and showing his softer side. Named Paula, after his wife, Thicke makes no apologies for the fact that his album is a love letter to his wife and a bold attempt to try and win her back. Fans of R&B will obsess and romantics everywhere will swoon.

6. Mystery Girls

Mystery Girls has us splitting our sides and we’re loving watching the dynamic between Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth.  We can’t wait to see what trouble the girls get into this week and how their sleuthing skills develop.

7. The Dare- Hannah Jayne

The author of Truly, Madly, Deadly is back with The Dare. When two best friends jump off a pier together and only one returns, Brynna’s left to pick up the pieces. In the vein of Pretty Little Liars, what would you do if the best friend you thought had died suddenly returned? The Dare dares you to explore that notion to the fullest.

8. Tammy

Melissa McCarthy is unabashedly who she is and we love her for it. Tammy, her newest effort, is sure to have you splitting your sides laughing and cheering in the aisles.

9. Young & Hungry

We’ve had the chance to interview Emily Osment and we’re obsessed with her on Young and Hungry. She’s a bit of a hot mess, in the best way, and we can’t wait to see more of her, Jonathan Sadowski, Rex Lee and more.

10. Pretty Little Liars

While we’re eagerly awaiting the 100th episode (huge!) the 99th will have to tide us over. They’re sure to be laying the groundwork for what the series creators have called their favorite episodes yet and we’re expecting to see familiar faces and bigger and better twists and turns than ever.
