1. I Woke Up a Vampire

From Netflix, I Woke Up a Vampire is a comedy family fantasy horror series. On her 13th birthday, Carmie discovers she is half human, half vampire, which makes middle school way more complicated than she expected. Carmie is easy to root for in the series and it’s a great watch for fantasy fans and families.

2. Shelter

From award winning mystery novel writer Harlan Coben, Shelter is based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Coben. After his father’s sudden death, Mickey Bolitar starts his new life in Kasselton, New Jersey, where he becomes tangled in the disappearance of student Ashley Kent, leading him to discover the dark side of his new quiet community. Shelter is jam-packed with mystery and twists and it’s hard not to be hooked from the first episode.

3. Percy Jackson and the Olympians 

Based on the bestselling book by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackon and the Olympians follows the demigod Percy as she leads a quest across America to prevent war among the Olympian gods. Walker Scobell, the lead of the series, was a huge fan of the Percy Jackson books before booking the role. The show has already had rave reviews as there are strong performances and nostalgia from the past books and films.

4. Pretty Freekin Scary

The new Disney Channel show follows 14-year-old Frankie Ripp, who appears to have a perfect life, until she dies. She is allowed to return home but only with her new Underworld guardians, Pretty and Scary, having to adapt to her ‘once-dead’ status in Middle School. The show has a great bunch of young actors including Eliana Sua and Kyan Samuels and is filled with mystery, friendship, and charm.

5. Riverdale Season 7

-After seven seasons of mystery, love triangles, and time travel, Riverdale came to an end after seven seasons. The show’s final season goes to the 1950s as the gang of Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica, Kevin, Cheryl, Toni and more navigate their high school years again. The series ended on a bittersweet note, revealing each of the character’s fates in the future but also serves as the perfect way to say goodbye to Riverdale.
