BEYONCE: Surprise “visual album”


Rumors of a new Beyonce album have been circulating for the past year, with an expected new album in 2014, but she surprised fans last week when she released a surprise album on iTunes. The “visual album,” titled Beyonce, has 14 tracks and an accompanying music video for each track. The tracks cannot be purchased individually, only together, as a complete album, for $15.99. Tracks feature various notable artists, including Frank Ocean, Drake, and Jay-Z. With a surprise release and without press, the album sold 80,000 copies in the first 3 hours of its release.
