Teen Wolf, S03E16 – “Illuminated”


“Illuminated” picks up where we left off with Teen Wolf. We see the masked men that attacked Isaac in Allison’s room walking down the street. Chris gets him to turn so he heals and then Chris reveals that he thinks the men were after him – he shows Allison and Isaac that he has one of the masks himself. Agent McCall interviews Stiles, Kira, Scott and Lydia. We learn that the code on the chalkboard was a message for Barrow to kill Kira. We don’t know what exactly, but the kids are a little bit reluctant to share information with McCall, including Kira. While there’s still a blackout at school, everyone continues to attend class. Danny wants to have a blacklight party, but there’s not even enough power to do that.  Ethan offers to help out Danny, which raises Aiden’s suspicions. Later, Lydia tells Aiden she saved Kira’s life. This sparks something in Aiden’s mind and he tells Danny he knows a good place for the party. Scott and Kira have some awkward exchanges, rife with sexual tension. It culminates with Scott taking a picture of Kira on his phone and seeing that she’s emanating a strange golden halo. They realize that Barrow also has these pictures on his phone, and they have to get them back from Agent McCall’s office where the phone is. The men in the masks, who are seriously terrifying, jump Derek. Stiles, Kira and Scott break into McCall’s office but the phone’s dead so they have to charge it before they can delete the pictures. While the phone is charging, McCall shows up. Stiles tries to distract him and Kira and Scott manage to escape. The party goes down in Derek’s loft. There’s sufficient amounts of relationship drama, all of which would be enough to handle on it’s own, until Lydia sees the masked men at the party. Before she can scream and warn everyone, one of the figures stops her. Stiles sees some glowing chemical on it thanks to the blacklights and has an epiphany. He realizes that HE was the one that left the message for Barrow. But why?? Kira sees Scott for what he truly is in the morning light.
